Iphone 4 screen blacks out, have to click lock/unlock button to see screen again?

It is a brand new iphone, it's been fine since I had jailbroken it with 4.3.3 software as the screen keeps going out now and again so I have to click the lock/unlock button to see the screen again.

No it has started doing it within seconds of the screen showing, i'm guessing this could be a software issue? I'm unsure what to do.

Restore?
If not, restore and take it to the apple shop and they should give you a free replacement

I've restored it to factory settings, but I am unsure if it has cleared the jailbreak data on the phone. I have a feeling that it is still on there and Apple will refuse me.

Restore to the latest firmware and you're good to go to the Apple store. Even jailbroken they will help, just giving you dirty looks.

Righty ho, I used iPhoneBrowser. Notification at the bottom said something like:

iPhone 4.3.3. Device recognised, not Jailbroken.

The has been similar issues on this sub forum. I think it's more than likely the jailbreak.

They should replace it since you're not accountable for the damage that has been done.
