I was reading a news article earlier today about a person who let their roomba run while they were at work. It was alone with their dog, who took a shit on the carpet. The roomba hit the shit, and smeared it all over the carpet, kept detecting "dirt". The entire carpet was covered and presumably ruined.

oh... that's shitty... I am so glad I do not have a dog. I do not ever want to deal with that smell again. Edit: I have found no Wall-E or Weighted Companion Cube roombas!!! What is this blasphemy?
Would be worse if the dog was smeared out all over the carpet. Those things dont save time btw, you will go and stare at it when it is working.
people use those? God dammit, I use the manual ones.
people use those? Oh... Or a Solid Snake box, that would be good too. haha :v:
Would be worse if the dog was smeared out all over the carpet. We've got a roomba in our house. It doesn't clean as well as the normal vacuum, and the battery is a hassle. But it's fun to have.
What type/model is it? So I know not to get one.
Well, it's from the first generation, and the problems probably stem mostly from damage from falling down the stairs. If the roomba hits the stairs at just the right angle it falls.
