The PC version of DMC4SE is planned for the 24th of June. You can play as these characters on any of the levels you play in the original game. Legendary Knight mode from the PC version of DMC4 will also be added to the XB1/PS4 versions of DMC4:SE. I think it also says there's plans for Lady and Trish 'pre-order' costumes.

huh?
Sorry too excited on the announcement
sick, i wasn't expecting any more than playable vergil
this news makes me super motivated
Oh man, I didn't expect anything other than Vergil being playable. But two other iconic franchise characters? That's pretty good.
Was hopping for new levels but three new playable characters ain't too bad.
Man, if remasters were on this level most of the time, I wouldn't complain about them when they came up. Definitely gonna need to pick this up when it comes to PC.
It's an 8 year old game that wasn't finished at launch, and we haven't had a Devil May Cry game since, so I don't mind a remaster, since it actually kind of warrants it.
fuck you

We'll have to see, though.
fuck you
Hey now, it's clear that DmC, while one of the best western hack-n-slashes we've had, is not really part of the Devil May Cry series that we've known for over a decade. It most likely didn't get the sales that Capcom wants so a sequel to the original series is likely.
My hype is reaching maximum levels. My 2 biggest issues with this game were [sp]the fucking board game levels[/sp] and having to play discount dante through most of the game :v: relevant:
not the hammiest cutscene in the game
definitely also one of my favourites, that game was just full of gold whenever dante was involved also I still don't understand how anyone at capcom thought it was a good idea to go from this: [thumb]http://i254.photobucket.com/albums/hh115/chimamire-no-shinobi/devil%20may%20cry/Dante-DMC4-Portrait.jpg[/thumb] to this [thumb]http://static.comicvine.com/uploads/original/11112/111120069/3918692-5035642936-dmc-d.jpg[/thumb] jesus christ

Just ignore DmC if you really don't like it that much. Unless Capcom completely lose it I can't see the Dantes ever bumping into each other. [editline]23rd March 2015[/editline]
discount dante through most of the game :v:
Hey. You leave Dollar-store Dante alone. He actually grew on me as the game went on, and you could pull of some disgusting combos thanks to the Devil Bringer and EX system. Though he is still nowhere near Dante. Damn, if the PC version of this requires a whole new install of the game I'm not going to be super pleased, I've been replaying 4 recently and actually getting decent at it finally. Losing all my progress would suck, but the extra scenarios sounds pretty interesting.

I mean redesigning is fine in a reboot, I'm not one of the people who are up in arms about the hair colour, but it just looks really bad

Guess that means I need to hold off on re-buying the game until I get a PS4. I loved the shit out of DMC4 and hardly needed an excuse to replay it, but all of this extra content definitely isn't hurting my urge to replay it.
You can play as these characters on any of the levels you play in the original game.
Can we also play as Dante in the Nero levels? The fact that you are forced play as Nero for over half the game, even after beating it, is the only thing keeping DMC4 from being the best game in the series, IMO. Dante played the best he ever has during the few levels you could use him.
Dante levels are Neros but in reverse though
Dante levels are Neros but in reverse though
Not all of Nero's levels, just a few of them. And like you said, in reverse, with different enemies and stuff. And there's like two of them that aren't Nero's levels also
495 hours of DMC4 so far. Summer is the time to add a couple hundred more.
Am I the only one who loved DmC? I mean I think DMC3 was probably the best but I thought the reboot was fucking crazy awesome, the weapon play was super fluid, and the game was stylish as fuck. I think the only thing I didn't like is that it was too easy and the dialouge was shite. I thought the story and setting was pretty fucking cool. That scene where your in the soda factory and you find out the big tanks are filled with giant demons. I dob't I though it was a unique asthetic. I didn't even mind the remastered Dante.

Just that it makes DmC even easier to ignore as long as they don't. Sorry if it came across that way. It was an entirely different studio working on DmC wasn't it? Everybody wants to make their mark, they just happened to have an artist who really, really wanted to do so. Kinda a shame as the rest of the art direction was pretty good, the Limbo world looked really cool.
please don't fuck this up

Far as I understand, it's not exactly a terrible game, but since it's based on a series like Devil May Cry and has incorporated so many changes, it is rightfully slammed for all the wrong mistakes and deviations it has. But aside from that, it does have few interesting things about it. Mostly the setting and how the world shifts from reality to this demon-world that's trying to kill the player at every passing, that's pretty creative and original, and so far hasn't been tried by other games that I would know of. Gameplay wise it looks fluid, but too easy. Devil May Cry games were hard to control for a reason, sure the moves and attacks weren't exactly as quick and adapt as in DmC but they were made for specific circumstances and knowing how to switch from one combo or maneuver to another is what made the player more experienced, and in turn satisfied. Character and story wise, everyone and everything is stupid and predictable.
[sp](ESPECIALLY the scene where Vergil shot their pregnant hostage during the exchange)[/sp]
I didn't quite get the fuss about this scene.
Yeah especially when everyone takes it completely out of context and just says [sp]"he shot a pregnant hostage"[/sp]. You know when that [sp]hostage was a demon carrying the spawn of Mundus, something that was a boss fight even before it was born and could quite possibly be much worse if it were born.[/sp] I had more of an issue with [sp]Vergil using a gun at all, really.[/sp]
