We of the Australian thread are looking for people in Australia, particularly Melbourne area to meet up and go to M9 laser wars.
Date is yet to be set and we need enough people to make a booking.
We're looking at going to M9 laser wars in the [b]Crown complex[/b].

Price is unknown as it may be cheaper to make a group booking but casual rates are

1 battle - $12.00pp
2 battles - $20.00pp
3 battles - $26.00pp

An alien invasion has taken place at M9 Laser Skirmish, Crown Entertainment Complex. Recruits must manoeuvre through a sprawling urban landscape battling it out with rival players and alien predators. Get too close and you'll be under enemy attack.
[b]BATTLE INCLUSIONS[/b] (i.e. What you get for your money)
Each M9 Laser Skirmish battle includes:
5 minute combat briefing
15 minutes of battle
De-briefing from your Commanding Officer
You should allow approximately 20-25 minutes in total per battle
[b]THE EQUIPMENT[/b]
Battle it out with advanced laser weapons
M9 Laser Skirmish, Crown Entertainment Complex, is equipped with state of the art Nexus Generation weaponry.
Your weapon can fire two types of laser – a phaser which is a narrow laser ideal for precision long distance shots and a blaster which is a wide angled laser perfect for close range shots where you could hit more than one person at a time. Be warned … being so close to your enemy using the blaster leaves you vulnerable for counter attack.
A recruits' combat vest has four sensors to aim for: the front, back, and both shoulders. The laser itself is also a target. If you are hit, your pack will deactivate for 10 seconds. Special powers of invincibility, hyper mode, stealth mode and team destroyer can activate randomly throughout the game shifting the battle advantage without warning.

[b]Your Mission: score points and stay alive!
Use obstacles and walls to attack or take cover
Play in large groups for more opportunities to score
Highest points are awarded for chest shots
Find the base stations for bonus points
Avoid the predators when they attack
Score points off multiple players with the close range blaster weapon mode
Camouflage yourself by wearing dark clothing[/b]

[b]After this for all those who are old enough we might go to a pub or something and do what us Aussies do best!
Also this is only for people who are 18 or over, you do not HAVE to come to either part of this. You can pick and mix, although there is limited space on the laser tag.[/b]
And we're holding this in Melbourne as most people in the Australian thread. Please do not try and ask us for plane tickets.

Possible date is in August. I know this is a while away but this gives us time to plan better and make reservations as we now have enough people to make a reservation!
We are going to M9 in Melbourne as it is easy to access, a little bit more safe than other places where we would need to take public transport like a million buses and stand at train stations that are unattended.

It's pretty damn dark in the laser arena, and your vest projects some light. I'm guessing stealth mode turns off your lights.

My vote is PJ O'Briens. Nice Irish Pub, cheaper than Crown's too. They have a LOT on tap (Guinness, Stella Artois, Carlsberg, Bulmers, VB (I think) or Carlton Draught for you bogans... plus a whole lot more).

That 3 game thing looks to be the best so unless we can't book it just for us, we should probably go with that. At most the cost will be the $26pp and I doubt anyone can't manage that.
If anyone doesn't want to go to the Laser tag, the over 18s will be going out to a pub or something afterwards. Dunno how it's gonna work but we'll meet up for a few drinks at some point. If you just wanna come to that, that works fine too.
