Their hook system is terrible compared to gmods IMO... [lua]entity.ConnectOutput( "OnPlayerPickup", "PickedUp" ) // fires the function PickedUp when OnPlayerPickup fires[/lua]
Their hook system is terrible compared to gmods IMO...
valve you just got ass-wooped in coding by an english modder what you gonna do
I can see this getting abused in hilarious ways.
I wonder if a significant portion of people even care about l4d2 anymore for this to even mean anything, it's been quite a while since I've played. The people I generally play against are either extremely bad and leave, or extremely good (in which case our team generally left).
no custom weapons still, buuuu while I can see custom weapons being abused, I'd love to see a massive arsenal of guns from the skins on gamebanana or something.
I'd like to see custom weapons and a relatively large optimized map with DayZ like survival gameplay. It won't happen.

A Resident Evil-style 'slow zombies and basic inventory system' possibility? :v: People managed to slow down zombies before and all with external scripts, but this could be potentially very cool depending on how open-ended it is.

I suppose you could horde food/water/ammo/meds, and they'd each have weight (ala Stalker) in your inventory that would factor into your movement speed or stamina regen. It's all a matter of how comprehensive the HUD system can be. Still, would be rad, maybe drastically increase the damage taken for survivors and/or introduce a stamina system (influences movement speed, weapon accuracy, melee swing rate, healing speed/effectiveness, temp health drain rate, etc.) and it could become something very interesting.
