So this laptop is turning off with no warning. No BSOD, no errors, nothing. It just shuts down.
I tried running it exclusively on AC with the battery removed but it still shut down. I've even bought a "laptop cooling pad" in hopes it might be an overheating problem.
Repair history includes multiple power cable replacements and a motherboard replacement.
Check temps with HWMonitor, sounds like overheating to me
My old HP laptop has this issue sometimes. Also not overheating because the temps are around 160F (I know, hot for idle or not under load) when it shuts down. It will shut down whenever it pleases (even right after booting or even doing nothing) and not boot at all (stuck at a black screen) if you try to turn it on too soon, meaning you'd have to wait a few minutes before it would work again. Has a partially borked GPU and a dying motherboard.
What model/make is the laptop?
Specs?
