You may have seen some of my threads stating that I got a new graphics card ( ASUS GT 240 1GB DDR3 PCI) and saying that it only worked once and it has never worked again. Well now I'm thinking my system might be underpowered.
I'm currently running in integrated graphics, and my PSU is a Corsair 450W.

Well my 9500GT works at about 500 with low specs so you should at least get a 500 / 600 watt PSU, I'd reccomend Antec or another Corsair. Maybe a Cooler Master modular PSU if you need one.
Definately not underpowered. Does your computer work with just the integrated graphics card?
a Corsair 450W should be more than enough for a GT 240 and an Athlon 64 X2.
Try reseating the card, double check that the external power connectors are plugged in.
If nothing else works, you got a bad card, RMA it.

lol. no. his system uses probably less than 250 watts. and that's a high estimate. knowing corsair power supplies, that 450 probably has something like 30-40A on the 12v rail. definately not underpowered.

I have reseated it but I may try that again. It might also another dud card. This would be my second dud card in a row.
I have also spoken to some computer techies and they reckon it might be underpowered as well.

What model is your power supply? If you can't find it, see how many amps it can handle on the 12V rail. It'll say on the sticker
