Hello,
I am looking for a professional video camera, that shoots professional looking music videos (HD). Look at some music videos from VEVO.
I am planning to make music videos for my music. It's my passion to film, and I wanna go higher up a level for a professional music video filming camera.
My maximum price range is $1000.
Stick to cheaper shit, especially if this is one of your first projects. Get a better camera when your passion develops into actual work. No sense in buying an expensive camera if you're hardly going to use it.
You can make beautiful films with crap cameras, and most phones film at 1080p these days.
Go for well known brand cameras: panasonic, sony etc. You can find pretty decent ones for under 1000$.
The best thing would be a DSLR, but they are out of your range for now. I'd say get one after practicing with cheaper gear.
There's no point in buying a camera in 1000$ unless you've got some experience of filming
get a canon 600D or a nikon D5100
they are right in your price range, and very good for filming.
In the words of Sir Allan Parker when he was guest lecturing at my uni:
"We live in a fasinating age where anyone can make a film using their phone, when I first started you needed to have a degree in engineering to work a bloody camera"
Use whatever, but I agree with Jo, a canon 600D is always good.

I've got the D5100 its amazing. I got it because of commendation from Jo before.
to elaborate, I have a D5100, I use it all the time for filming (in fact, I was filming a final project with it today)
to be honest, canon is a little better known for making DSLRs that are more focused on video, so the 600D might be a better choice if you're just interested in filming, and not interested in owning a DSLR as a whole
but either one is still great.
And the best part is that you can find plenty of amazing lenses and equipment for DLSRs like this

I'm saving up for a 600D myself, the video quality looks really good, especially for the price.
