To the surprise, and no doubt, horror of all, doctor found that a spider had crawled inside the woman’s ear canal and lived there for five days. The woman, referred to only as Ms. Lee, arrived at China’s Changsha Central Hospital of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery on Aug. 8, according to RedNet News. Doctor’s say it appears the spider had crawled into Ms. Lee’s ear while she slept. But how to get it out? The medical staff decided to flush the spider out with a saline solution, fearing that a more direct approach to removing it might make the spider burrow even deeper. HNNG, I cringe at the thought of having something like that in my ear. I have to remove ticks from my dogs ears in the summer time, and I've had to remove some as large as June bugs which is really disgusting.
So after shitting myself twice at the thought of having a spider living in your ear, I read it again. How little food does a spider need to survive for 5 days in a human ear?
The article is from 2012 but I'm almost positive the original story is even older than that
Christ, didn't notice the date.
Yeah, I remember reading this ages ago.

Nice. Now I can't finish my sandwich.
allright so lets talk about the wierdest things you've had in your ears. when i was 12 a tiiiny moth suddenly flew right into my ear. this guy had a mission! to burrow deep and stay there! he drove me insane by fluttering his wings every once in a while or move around. Eventually though i guess he got bored because a couple of hours later he flew out! alive and well it seemed.
