I'm going to buy a massive upgrade for my PC. I only want the RAM, Motherboard and the CPU to be upgraded. So far, I've found the following parts:

RAM:
6 GiB (3x 2 GiB) Corsair Dominator TR3X6G1600C8D
Mobo:
MSI P67A-GD65 (B3)
CPU:
Intel Core i5 2500K Boxed @ 3,3 Ghz
My initial budget is around € 500, 530 being maximum. I'd like "bang for your buck".
My PSU can handle 600 W. Also, does the new "i5/i7" need a custom a cooler?
Thanks in advance!
Triple channel RAM won't work with the motherboard, and no, you don't need to get yourself a custom cooler, although I recommend it
also what's your PSU manufacturer
Full specs?
If you're going to get the 'K' version of that CPU you obviously intend to overclock, and to make the most of that you will want a 3rd party cooler.
Like Macktastic said, you need dual channel ram, so get 2 sticks of 2gb or 4gb, DDR3.

How about graphics card?
My full specs are:
Intel Q9300 @ 2.5 ghz
ATI HD 4890 1GB Sapphire
4 GB RAM
I don't know the brand of the PSU, but I know it's a good (A+) brand.
Also, I've had some help from someone I know and (already) bought the following:
CPU:
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (6x 3300 MHz)
Mobo:
GA-880GMA-UD2H (AMD 880G)
RAM:
GeIL 8 GB DDR3-1333 Kit (8192 MB)
SSD:
OCZ Solid State Drive 2,5 inch SATA 60 GB
Still, I have no idea how to put Win7 or another OS on the SSD and the data on my current HDD (which is 1 TB). How do I plan on doing that?

Cancel that deal, he's full of fuck. I can't really explain to you how dumb this was.
That mobo would certainly bottleneck your whole system if you plan on gaming. Bad deal.
So, you want our imput, then you go and buy something completely different :bravo:
