• Extremely polite man discovers strange woman living in his attic, calls the ordeal 'just weird'
A Seattle man found himself living everyone's worst nightmare when he discovered that a stranger was living in his attic. Davis Wahlman had been noticing clues that something was amiss in his home for a few days, but the (apparently mellow) employee of KOMO News ignored the occasional light mysteriously left on, bathroom window screen in a bathtub, and distinct noises coming from within his house. "I don't immediately freak out but I'm like, 'This is not ordinary,'" Wahlman told KOMO. Wahlman, who will never be asked to housesit for anyone ever, stated, "I hear rummaging around above me, which I know is the attic so I'm like, 'That's kind of weird.'" Amidst the signs that most people would find alarming, the homeowner went on with his daily routines until Wahlman was eventually unable to ignore his uninvited guest any longer. Noting a light on in the office, Wahlman found the door locked. In a thrillingly polite move, Wahlman knocked. The response he got was indeed "weird." From within his office, Wahlman heard, "Jimmy? Jimmy, is that you? Wahlman immediately (and finally) called 911. Before police could arrive, a brown-haired woman opened the door and insisted to Wahlman that someone named Jimmy told her she could live in the house. Explained Wahlman, "And she just keeps kind of going, 'This is my house. I live here. I've been here for three days. Jimmy said I could live here, Jimmy said I could stay here.'" Jimmy's friend quickly departed, and Seattle detectives have yet to locate her. Wahlman noted that nothing had been stolen, but that he found the entire experience, "just weird, you know?"
http://www.sfgate.com/news/article/Extremely-polite-man-discovers-strange-woman-8399014.php
I know where I'm staying if I go to Seattle. The rent is dirt cheap and you get tons of privacy.
It sounds like she was mentally ill, [sp]or a ghost,[/sp] very weird though.
I find the thought of someone secretly living in my loft or basement just about the most unsettling thing going, to the point where thinking about it gives me goosebumps. It's higher on my list of scary things than a lot of stuff

reminds me of that video of the woman who was living in the crawlspace above that guy's kitchen. I assume she was mentally ill and the article says she's yet to be found, hopefully she ends up somewhere she can get the help she needs
there have been some reported cases of people living in cupboards and closets, as well
Sauce? Wouldn't mind reading some of that.
Times like these are when I'm glad we don't have a full on attic so much as a tiny storage space full of boxes and Christmas decorations.
Those quotes from the intruder are indeed weird as fuck. Sounds like a nutcase.
Honestly I don't think she is a nut case at all. I think she new she was busted when he knocked on the door so she started making an excuse and trying to act really confused and innocent while trying to leave.

How she sloppily left lights on, a screen in the bathtub, rummaged around above while he was home etc. Maybe she is just stupid or didn't care about being caught, but something tells me she wasn't right in the head. Hopefully they find her safe and sound and get her checked out.
Sauce? Wouldn't mind reading some of that.
It was in Japan, if that helps your search.

I wouldn't mind if she was the reclusive paranoid type, as long as she didn't fuck up me shit I'd be okay with that. [editline]27th July 2016[/editline]
-hider in the house trailer-
I might not be able to handle the Busey in my attic though.
