Intriguing.
Nice, I've always wanted a suppression system in a game.
Intriguing.
Nice, I've always wanted a suppression system in a game.
Should pick up RO/RO2 Then.
Nice, I've always wanted a suppression system in a game.
Try some of the mods for Battlefield 2, like Project Reality and Forgotten Hope 2. [editline]8th July 2011[/editline]
no
Why?
Suppression stuff sounds really cool imo, i guess assault having medic-stuff will be balanced since they dont have ammo packs
poo
Valid reason, carry on.
What about that picture they just posted? So medic is assault now or what? The suppression thing sounds awesome though, I've always tried doing that in games, now it will actually do something.

I hated the fact that the medic was able to be this unstoppable tank with an LMG that could also revive fallen teammates and heal everybody in BC2.
But yet again, the guy with the biggest gun also has ammo.
True but at least throwing ammo packs at a corpse doesn't magically make them come back to life.
i would like to see this in action

I dunno. I say that because "play it your way" could be refered as customising to suit your prefered role.
eventually all games will just be interactive blur and you tap B to switch the blur from a red-ish blur to a blue-ish blur
No more medic? :saddowns:
That sounds awesome
No more medic? :saddowns:
If you think back to Battlefield 2, they are essentially just merging the Assault with the Medic. Both classes had the same assault rifle and similar load out in BF2, just the Assault had a nade launcher and or smoke and the Medic had med kits and a defib. I use to never touch Assault, as the Medic was the same thing to me, just more suited to my play style. They are also taking the Support back to his roots and giving him ammo bags and an LMG so he can be a actual "support" class and not Rambo on the front lines. I think this was a smart move on their part, we will just have to wait and see what sort of class customizing we can make this go around compared to BC2.
They're streamlining it like they did with 2142. Infact 2142 did it pretty damn well.
When I read the thing, I had the mental picture of some US soldier screaming like a girl. Well if I had machine gun fire (or pretty much any firearm fire) aimed towards me I would be screaming too.
bring back bf2 classes it was balanced, i dont want to play wookie simulator 2
They need to limit the number of players using the same class in a team, so the game doesn't turn into medics constantly reviving eachother, or wookies turning the pace of the game into a tea party.

Hasn't more than half this information already been released?
Hasn't more than half this information already been released?
yes
Something like what RO does i agree.
Yeah, in RO, if you are playing on an almost full server (so you can actually play the game) every class with playerlimits gets full in 3-4 seconds after next map. If I want to play as a sniper, then this game better let me play as one.
I don't like the idea of medic being combined with assault. Doesn't that seem like a bad idea to anybody else? The class could tank it all the way through easily.
Its like that in BF2142 and you don't see people tanking in that game. You also have to trade off better damage dealing upgrades like grenade launchers if you want to carry a defibrillator. [editline]8th July 2011[/editline] So if you take the revive stuff you're pretty much slotted like the medic from BF2. If not, you're more like the assault from BF2. Neither could tank so I don't see the problem.
