Monitor backlight needs pressure on power cable to be turned on

So my 1½ year old monitor has begun to die for the last couple of months. In the start I could just give it a quick pressure and it'd stay turned on for an hour until I'd have to press again.
The backlight needs pressure on power cable to be turned on, and the pressure is too high for the cable to do now.
The funny thing is, the monitor gets power, so shouldn't the backlight be on without pressure?

Without the pressure theres still power to the monitor, that makes me think it's a loose connection up the power cord to the monitor, but not from the power cord to the lamp/led, but I'm not sure.
Different power cables refused to work at all when it began to break and want a little pressure.
Oh and check signal cable is good. For the moment it's not connected to any pc, but the check signal cable message is equal to that the backlight is turned on.
If you need anymore information, please ask me for it and I'll provide it. It's a "SAMSUNG TFT 24" 245B+" by the way.
Faulty Circuit that is only made when pressure is applied on the power cable? I'd guess you'd need to see it repaired/replaced under warranty or buy a new one if it's out of the warranty period.
Thanks, contacted samsung and they'll be replacing it since there's a year till the warranty runs out. I just hope it doesn't magically work when they get it, as I'll have to pay the service fee then.
It seems to work sometimes, but not not all the time, and only when twisting the power cable back and forth till the picture shows up.
