SEOUL — North Korean supreme leader Kim Jong Un said Wednesday that national unity had strengthened “by 100 times” following the purge of “counterrevolutionary factionalists” — an apparent reference to his uncle, Jang Song Thaek, who was executed last month for treason.
Kim’s comments, delivered in a lengthy New Year’s Day address, were his first since Jang was accused of plotting a coup and stripped of all his posts. Although Kim did not mention Jang by name, he described the purge as the “correct decision.”
Kim also said the North must be more vigilant in stamping out dissent and called for intensified ideological education for Workers’ Party members and citizens to “ensure that they think and act at all times and in all places in line with the Party’s ideas and intentions.”
I remember when he first got into power, people were saying he'd be a bit more of a reformer because he was educated in Switzerland :v:

How is that even related? Because the news story involves North Korea?
The headline makes it sound like he's suggesting more of a type of mexican food.
We need more Pugres!

Genuinely terrifying.

It baffles me how dystopian this is.

I'm just waiting for the Thought Police to be implemented.
The uncle was one of his handlers wasn't he.
He clearly wants more for his country (ie. himself) but will only get so far before he realises he can't do anything.
Maybe this is why he didn't have anyone to eat with on Christmas dinner.
Australia pls liberate. Spread in the name of freed- I mean kangaroos, Subarus and Fosters.

Famine prevented.
Jesus christ now I'm imagining Kangroos marching on Pyonyang, the army unable to stop them as they're kicked into submission.
