The film follows high school senior Jo Mitchell, who befriends outcast Abby Hanover, and follows the girls as they take on the school's mean girls, the Plastics.
[release]The story revolves around a new high school student, Jo, who agrees to befriend an outcast, Abby, at the urging of Abby's wealthy father in exchange for paying all of Jo's costs for the college of her dreams. Jo and Abby team up to take on the school's mean girls, the Plastics, Mandi, Hope and Chastity.

The flick tells the story of a pretty outsider who transfers to North Shore High, befriends an unpopular artist, and conspires to bring down the Plastics, a group of three snotty, cruel classmates: a devious queen bee, a dumb, promiscuous blonde, and a high-strung brunette. Soon enough, the protagonist gets a makeover and becomes a member of the ruling class herself. It’s only after a major crisis turns the entire school against her that our girl can get back on track and finally rid the school of Plastics once and for all.[/release]

Yeah, this review or whatever it is practically sums up my thoughts of the movie, even though I haven't seen it.

The trailer itself just looks horrendous. They even have the blackboard.
So practically, the first movie but with different actors.
so many release tags...
also this is paramount pictures just sayin
Mean Girls was a movie that I didn't expect would be hilarious... until I saw it was written by Tina Fey.

Thanks.
It's a chick flick, if you're a boy and you enjoyed it it means your gay.

I doubt a girl would enjoy it either way.
I meant the first.
The first one was.... good... I guess.
i know this may seem weird, but this one seems like a load of garbage compared to the first one.
It was waaaaay overhyped by my friends. Even the guys thought it was awesome.
I saw it and was like, really?
The first one is sort of a guilty pleasure for me, but did it really need a sequel?
Also the plot looks exactly the same as the first one. Why? Man, movies suck. Except for that one movie, but it's only really that one part.
Here's hope they up the ante and someone gets accidentally ejaculated on in the face at a pregnancy party
...Shit, wrong thread.
Did this really need a sequel...?

No no, this comment is appropriate here.
The first is pretty funny, and my girlfriend references it all the time so I decided to see it. This looks like shit though.
I actually watched this during the premiere. Although I wasn't paying too much attention to it (Was playing a game on the computer) it seems awful. A lot of the jokes missed and the story was terrible. The acting was awful.
It's a chick flick, if you're a boy and you enjoyed it it means your gay.
the first made fun of girls throughout so i don't see what's wrong with boys liking it
It's a chick flick, if you're a boy and you enjoyed it it means your gay.
Or it could simply mean, that you want a movie to which you can jerk it all the way through?
Lindsey Lohan was soooo hot in the first one.
Sorry you had to see that, Zooey
The poster and the characters in the poster look so generic and boring that it almost seems like this is a low budget rip off.
Anyway, the first one was better than you'd expect. If you liked it, you should watch "Easy A", which is similar in tone and shit, but substantially better, which is to say it's very good.
The first one was surprisingly good.
A sequel is completely unwarranted just like the 50 American Pie sequels after American Wedding.
The first was only good because (as a guy) I didn't expect it to be funny at all. It was clever and extremely relevant. But even the most superficial, mainstream girls at my school think this new one blows
the first one was quite well written even though it was a little bit generic
Wish Tina Fey was involved. Love that woman.
It's a chick flick, if you're a boy and you enjoyed it it means your gay.
I thought 'gay' meant that you were attracted to the same sex that yourself is, not by watching something with GIRLS in it. Couldn't a guy admire how gorgeous the girls are in it?
"it has girls in it so it can't be gay" is a stupid argument
sure, what he said was stupid, but, really? sex and the city is about four women, and yet most of the people that watch the show are either women or gay men. do you also watch gossip girl?
whats wrong with gossip girl
It's a chick flick, if you're a boy and you enjoyed it it means your gay.
boo you whore
whats wrong with gossip girl
i have a friend that thinks it's cool to share the fact that he got and watched the entire series in a weekend
why does it matter you're all gay if you ask me
The first one was kind of good, but that's dumb that they can't even do a sequel right. Lindsey on coke.
