Jared Michael tried to take a video selfie in front of a passing train from, in his own words, “a safe distance.” Thanks to the video, we know a “safe” distance to Jared is roughly the length of one leg, because the driver of the train stuck his boot out and kicked Jared right upside the head.
And it was glorious. Let us never forget
Oh yes; we can't forget the best part

That first picture will always get me.
Good, anyone that dumb deserves it.
badass train conductor
He should be glad he's even alive, shit sometimes hangs loose on those trains, and he easily could've been killed.
Boot to the head. *Foomp*
Note that the foot is right over a metal protrusion that would have fucked him up more than a little jaw pain. Hearing the conductor call out to him beforehand, he's a hero and the kid is a fucking moron for almost getting himself boned over a shitty pseudo-artsy selfie

Pretty sure that's why the engineer kicked him actually, to try and stop his face hitting a piece of metal that was sticking out.
Dumbest selfie ever meets best conductor ever.
If you're close enough to the train for the conductor to kick you, you're too close to the train.
If you're close enough to the train for the conductor to kick you, you're too close to the train.
If you're close enough to the train to touch it with a 6 foot pole, then you're still too close. Trains are not meant to be fucked with. Things can and will be tossed up and around by them.
-snip
Nevermind, he IS way too close.
-snip- ^ you're right, glad you realized.
Nothing. Go stand next to a speeding train.
Hurrrrr
I didn't pay attention to how close he really was
He's lucky he wasn't killed. He could have easily lost balance and fall right into the train.
-snip, didn't read the title :c -
I wonder if the guy on the train actually kicked him with force or just let his foot hang off and hit the kid

It was just so he'd hit his boot instead of the dangerous bit of metal hanging off the side
Nearby my town there was a kid in high school that got killed by an oncoming train because he was listening with his headphones.
With his death, they established a precedence in where they would have warning signs on sidewalks that lead into railroad crossings.

Be sure to take all your dangerous selfies in front of a green screen
Every engineer lives in fear of their train hitting someone. This idiot puts himself in "traumatizing the poor guy for life" territory of his own brazen stupidity. He deserves far more than a kick in the head. He deserves a nice fine.

would a green train work
I guess he's a friend of my friend... normally a cool, smart dude- just made a stupid mistake in the name of the selfie game.
His facebook is blown the fuck up.
Good, honestly when reading half the headline I was expecting a pretty horrible death.

And if the train was going at high speeds, it could have sucked him in.

I wasn't even anywhere close to the train either, I was driving the opposite direction on a road parallel to the tracks.
Seeing that strap spin through the air at me was scary shit, but it sure did make a cool sound.
I was in a train once when some some drunk retard threw a bottle of beer at it.
I was watching out the window and saw a bunch of dudes hanging out near the tracks. Suddenly one guy grabs his beer and tosses it at the train, and I watch the bottle sail right towards where I'm at. It didn't do any damage, but the sudden noise scared the shit out of everyone else in the train car.
