Oh god damn it.
well fuck
I need to get rid of Battle Field Bad Company 2 since it doesn't work on my computer and trading would've got the job done..
Why are people believing Pachter anyway? The man makes a living from spewing out any bullshit predictions he thinks of!
Not surprised.
I don't even see how people would expect this. From a business perspective, it makes no sense.
Knew it was too good to be true
Why does no one believe me :(
awwwww

it was a weird thing anyway that a company gave your money back because you got bored of a game, it's like give back an empty bag of chips to a shop and recieve the money. the good idea would be that you could trade-in your game if it didn't work on your computer, like 10 days warranty.
I kinda wish it was gonna happen. They really wouldn't be giving your money back persay. They just give you credit equal to the game in your steam wallet. Not real money bur virtual money you can only spend on stuff on steam. Atleast that's how I think it should be like. There is a couple games I wish I could get my money back for..
If I was able to trade in the games I bought in the THQ pack I'd get more money back than I gave for it. Not a chance this was true.
that wouldn't work, you could complete a game in 10 days and how would you prove it didn't actually work
Well on steam it shows you how many hours you've been playing a game, so if they saw a ridiculous time, say, 5-10 hours then they'd know something was up. I would have liked this feature since in September I went on this weird buying frenzy and ended up wasting money on a lot of games I don't play.
Wait... people actually listen to Micheal Pachter's bullshit rumors? ... That's funny. :v:
fuck, if this was true id be loaded with steam money, lots of games I could trade in
well fuck you then valve ruinig my dreams
Who seriously thought this was going to happen? The industry hates used game sales, just look at EA's Project $10.
Business people! Business! People want money. People Love money. Keep asking for this service and Valve is going to start charging you money for it. Nobody is going to allow digital trade in of old games. They want you to keep that game in your account, FOREVER!
It would be kicking rad if it happened, but then again it would be stupid from VALVe's side.
It would be kicking rad if it happened, but then again it would be stupid from VALVe's side.
Not really. They aren't losing money. They give you fake money like Nexon does Nx Cash or such that you can use to buy other games. They wouldn't be giving you real money.
Would never have happened anyway, too many loopholes and it just wouldn't work. Would have been nice though, a trade in for games you never play anymore for a bit of steam credit, or something. I have so many I never play. Oh well !
Doesn't come as a surprise to me.
Still, would've been nice. I have quite a few games in my steam account that I was either incredibly disappointed with or I just don't touch anymore.
I wasn't expecting much anyways. It would have been kind of like trading songs with other people on iTunes, and we know that's never happening.
I was happy cause i needed to get rid of mw2. Now im sad.
How could anyone be so angry at Valve after all the good things they've done for players.
For once, the lateness of this bot is not being discussed. Perhaps, if this were to happen, they could give you a game that's %50 of the price you payed for the one you want to trade in.
There's a site that does this. Game selection kind of sucks, though. http://www.greenmangaming.com/ Can't imagine it's a very sound business model.
