SOCHI/MOSCOW (Reuters) - Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump had not divulged any secrets during a meeting in Washington with Russian officials and offered to prove it by supplying Congress with a transcript. But a leading U.S. Republican politician said he would have little faith in any notes Putin might supply. Two U.S. officials said on Monday Trump had disclosed classified information about a planned Islamic State operation to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov when they met last week, plunging the White House into a fresh controversy just four months into Trump's tenure. Trump, whose administration has been dogged by allegations that Russia helped him win the White House and that he and his allies are too cozy with Moscow, has defended his decision to discuss intelligence with the Russians after media reports of the meeting alarmed some U.S. and foreign politicians. President Putin deployed his trademark sarcasm on Wednesday to make clear he thought the accusation that Trump had divulged secrets absurd. "I spoke to him (Lavrov) today," a smiling Putin told a news conference with Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni in the Russian Black Sea resort of Sochi. "I'll be forced to issue him (Lavrov) with a reprimand because he did not share these secrets with us. Not with me, nor with representatives of Russia's intelligence services. It was very bad of him."
https://www.yahoo.com/news/vladimir-putin-says-prove-trump-did-not-pass-114648943.html
sure putin we trust you..... /sarcasm -Ithon 1917-2017
That's like getting your best friend to lie to your parents that you totes did not broke that window.
Well, that seems kinda funny considering Trump admitted it alr-
"I'll be forced to issue him (Lavrov) with a reprimand because he did not share these secrets with us. Not with me, nor with representatives of Russia's intelligence services. It was very bad of him."
Wait a second, wot?
"He didn't do it. Look, here's a paper I wrote saying he didn't do it."
So Putin says it didn't happen, but Trump says it did. That's a tough choice for conservatives. Who do they pretend to believe?
Why would Putin care enough about internal U.S. affairs to help clear up misunderstandings? [sp]Because he has a vested interest in Trump.[/sp]
Why would Putin care enough about internal U.S. affairs to help clear up misunderstandings? [sp]Because he has a vested interest in Trump.[/sp]
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Well, that seems kinda funny considering Trump admitted it alr- Wait a second, wot?
The bit you're quoting is Putin joking with the reporter.
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
And that's why Russia annexed Crimea, right? To help stabilise the world. :v:
I'm pretty sure the transcript will just be the US's nuclear launch codes and a winky face.
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
I'm actually sorry, but you don't get to defend global stability when the guy you support called for and promised to commit actual war crimes and destroy the US economy depending on how many of his policies get in. This is ignoring how Russia isn't exactly a bastion for maintaining global stability in the first place, considering they actually invaded a sovereign nation.
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Russia has always been a shining beacon of global unity and stability after all
Seems Legit
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
lmao didn't this lad fucking invade another country and then proceeded to basically fund a rebellion in said country to destabilize it more?
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Yeah, no reason for you, or anyone else to think about this any further, or question it what so ever! Thanks Conch for your sound reasoning as to why this isn't a concern!
lmao didn't this lad fucking invade another country and then proceeded to basically fund a rebellion in said country to destabilize it more?
Don't forget the part where he's funding multiple nationalist parties in Europe with strong anti-EU and anti-NATO sentiments
Don't forget the part where he's funding multiple nationalist parties in Europe with strong anti-EU and anti-NATO sentiments
but hey, he offered to back-up the god emperor so he must be a pretty sound lad, right?
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Yeah, Russia sure wants stability...
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Yeah, this is totally legit, unlike literally all of the american media, yeah
"He didn't do it. Look, here's a paper I wrote saying he didn't do it."
This is basically a cross between a kid's sick note signed "From my dad" and that time Trump tried giving evidence by saying "I am the evidence."
lmao didn't this lad fucking invade another country and then proceeded to basically fund a rebellion in said country to destabilize it more?
Were you talking about Afghanistan? oh wait.
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Then why did he refuse to release an audio recording of the event when prompted, despite one existing, but instead opted to provide a written transcript? An audio recording would have been irrefutable proof, yet somehow Putin who cares about stability in the global order (I'm so embarrassed for you for thinking this but whatever, let's move past that) refused to provide one?
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
Funny, considering how Trump supporters love making conspiracies out of fucking everything. Also, don't act like Putin's doing this out of the kindness of his heart. We already have two people in the Trump administration with proven links to Russia.
Ah yes, thanks Putin. Totally can't just redact the parts that would incriminate the visit.
Could you fuckers try any harder to look fucking guilty as shit? Seriously, it's as if they're just mocking us now.
They're trolling us. Literally.
Well it should be abundantly clear that there is no cooperation or collusion between Trump and Putin after this!
The United States is in the midst of Russian State capture. They want to turn us into another satellite state, like pre-revolution Ukraine or like modern Belarus
Stability in the global order benefits all nations. Not everything is a conspiracy.
I refuse to believe you're this dense and far gone it's gotta be bait and we're all falling for it
