So that's a game and not an expansion pack, okay. Well that looks very similar so far.
ill just wait for a gameplay trailer to see if its just a copy and paste
So is this another game completely or an add-on of some kind? Either way it doesn't look terrible interesting.
The article mentions dynamic weather, and I was reminded of that level in Left 4 Dead 2 where it's constantly raining but periodically the rain will pick up and be really intense and limit your view. I want more games to do that.
so a sequel? was it worth it? i'd rather get an expansion pack
Sheesh. They could at least give the characters new outfits.
Because they were able to stop home and change right before their escape vehicle crashed?
With the same iconic characters you remember from the original dead island!
With the same iconic characters you remember from the original dead island!
You talking shit about Sammy B?
You talking shit about Sammy B?
Sammy B only knows one letter.. Oh man going to say "Sammy B only knows.." all over again in this new game/DLC :v:
I loved dead island, the flaws were not even that bad. It definitly had the best zombie mechanics and it's always fun in an hilarious way.
I really liked the first one, I'll be picking this one up.
Here's a pretty bad trailer off the Dead Island website, but it's a teaser so it's somewhat excusable. Also personally I was kind of hoping for new and more interesting characters to play as
I was hoping for a Crysis 2 style sequel where you're in a city rather than a tropical island. They could've been really clever and used Manhatten because it is an island after all.
hmmm i liked dead island, so i will probably pick this up too
Meh, new mutations. In my opinion mutant zombies (unless REALLY cleverly done) just make zombie games tedious.
I'll be picking this up. Enjoyed the first Dead Island so much.
Loved the combat but the game dragged after the first act. Not really sure I want a straight equal at this point the fantasy game they are working on using some of the same mechanics sounds a lot more interesting.

Getting to run around the city was actually really fun.

You played as Dad, carried Mum and Girl to save havens, explored the whole island to find a way off and came across survivors along the way. Maybe a cool build feature to build up your safe house? I'm only throwing things around...

The problem is a lot of people made a short-sighted assumption based off the first teaser for the game and never bothered to follow up.

As things got more substantial and facts more solid, disappointment accumulated and reached its verbal peak on release because big games are always a center of attention on release.

Most people were genuinely surprised by the fact that the game didn't play out like the teaser. If they had looked at virtually anything other than the teaser, they'd have been fully aware of what they were getting long before they got it.
Dead island was (despite the bugs) one of my favorite zombie game so far, so i'll be looking forward to this. Only thing that bugs me is it seems they are using the exact same zombie models from the last game, It's not exactly a big deal i mean why fix what isn't broken, but it seems a little lazy.
I want Dead Island without preset playable characters. You know, like ARPG character creation. I understand why L4D was done with characters but it wasn't an RPG.
Sheesh. They could at least give the characters new outfits.
from the sound of the story, they would never had a chance to find new clothing, so it does make sense
who do you voodoo wheater i hope you get the reference
Bring back the weapon duplication glitch. Then I'll play again
I want a zombie game with Dead Island's combat, but the replayability and pick up and play style of left 4 dead.
I just hope to god they fixed the horrible 3rd person animations, like god damn that was bad but I got to be honest here I'm a little excited, I loved dead island [sp]also doesn't this happen in Sydney because of how in the end that's where they were flying or some shit?[/sp]
