It's a good game, it has a lot of personality, and if you get really into it, it can become a great hobby watching pro matches.

Didn't they begin doing the "Starter edition" thing with WoW where you can play up to level 20 for free? Blizzard knows how to make their games appealing.

I gave it a shot, I've been interested for a while.
Third or so mission I think, where you hold out against the Zerg for 20 minutes, I got to about 45ish seconds left where they rushed with an immense army and destroyed all my defenses and I lost. Ragequit so hard.
I feel so bad. My friend bought it for me when it first came out because he wanted to play it with me but I really couldn't get into it, it was way too competitive for me. He never says anything about it but I feel like a dick for making him waste $80 on it (aussie retail price)...
Yeah, Blizzard told how russians would never have to pay a monthly fee for this. Guess what, when I bought it, there was this tiny note on the box - "3 months to play". And I tried Multiplayer, oh jesus fuck, complete devastation of me in seconds, I do however pretty well against the AI. Sigh, Real-time strategy just scares me.
Thats not bad, I would be downloading it to try it out but seeing that my computer isnt the "best" or "decent" enough, i'll have to pass.
Still, Its a good idea to bring more players into it.

That's why I spend most of my time playing custom game modes which are great fun or team games against AI.
I only do a little 1vs1 quickmatching.
Terran is the only race I play anywhozles... and full access to the custom games means starbattle is open! :D I might actually look into this.

Yeah you don't get all custom games, just 1 custom game that is cycled over a period of time. So, one week, it may be Star Battle, another week, it may be something else.

cataclysm came out in december for £25, now it's like £10-£15. hell, the collectors edition is only £25 these days.

I would have bought Diablo 2 recently if it wasn't $20 and another $20 for the expansion. So I'm just going to wait for Diablo 3.

i dunno about lower leagues, but in diamond/masters i used to play against a terran one match out of ten
