Wow. That's much more than I expected, good job Bethesda!
Well thats it,
Bethesda you are forgiven for paid mods.

Not so fast. They did say they were going to try again with that shit and that it'd work better on a fresher installment.
Wait a bit and see what they do. Bethesda.net or whatever is also a really, really bad omen.

Paid mods isn't an inherently bad thing.

Besides the fact that with all the voiced main character they've killed off any chance of quest mods that don't mish-mash existing lines?

Can't people just make mods without voiced dialogue?
Can't people just make mods without voiced dialogue?
people could create mods where everybody is from the hood and just call the character og or something
"Starting pre-apocalypse in 1950's Boston"...
Hmmm, I'm calling shenanigans on that. Surely we're still in the main timeline, right?
Still, it looks cool, and the new VATS seems interesting. But I seriously hope they haven't removed skills entirely, otherwise that's a pretty big setback.

People are already doing that in Skyrim... it's a mod made by amateurs no one's expecting AAA voice acting anyway.

It starts before the bombs dropped but timeskips 200 years to start the real game.

It still pretty awesome to see the pre-war world though. I hope it's more engaging than Vault 101.
I want this.

the author seems to have forgotten that the bombs fall in 2077

Yeah, that's what I was getting at. They'd probably never heard about the games and they needed someone to write an article. But hey, at least he didn't go and discuss politics in the Philippines and moan about his life having no meaning, when he shoulda been doing his job.

Another piece of evidence pointing to the total disregard for journalism in modern online journalism, it seems. Even a casual google search would have told the guy the pertinent info.
Either that, or the editor's the one that fucked up and accidentally deleted 'esque' after '1950's'. That's also perfectly plausible.
