Hi guys,
So I am writing this story for a comic book, I think it'll be 90 pages long or something.
My main issue is that I can't figure out the story arc, I am going through a form of writers block. The story begins with a bad performance by two comedians who end up in a fight with a bunch of rednecks, they later go and get drunk and drive home. On their way they drive through a time portal out in the desert and end up in the distant future, where a malevolent sociopath has controlled a space faring form of the human race for thousands of years. This psycho is immediately aware of the fact that the comedians are there and has convinced himself that they are malevolent aliens or demons who wish to destroy his empire and the world despite the fact that his technology has proven this wrong. In this future, all knowledge of mankind before 2045 AD has been lost after an attempt at conquering Earth by an unknown alien race.
Note: In this future, man has evolved beyond their form now and have become animal-like through genetic mutations and cybernetic augmentations. People get around through the use of their own artificial limbs. The characters include Guy McFriendly who was 'told by an old man' that the two characters Fathead and Ryan the green monkey would come into this time and ruin his empire. The two characters Fathead and Ryan share a bond together acquired when they met long before and have had gone through crazy adventures. They meet a benevolent and intelligent man named Dr. Junco who plans to overthrow McFriendly to create a new future, he is willing to help Fathead and Ryan, and get them back to their time. They must embark on a journey to the destination in order for this to happen.
I am stuck at a scene where the two comedians have walked into a bizarre restaurant not long after they have been transported into this future.
Does anybody have any idea as to what could happen next?
That is incredibly ambiguous material to work with, you've given us next to nothing
What's the setting like? What are the characters like? Who else is present? What's the destination of the story arc that you want to push towards via this scene?
To expect good advice you should really post what you've done up to this point, because this is hopeless.
