That's cool, i always wanted a game in the WW1 period.
honestly they just needed to mention vtmb to get me interested
I hope it's good. But Remember Me was, ironically, pretty god damn forgettable all in all. So let's hope they can do better.

Industrial age to WW1 is the most classy period ever.
I love the fashion, music, etc from those times.

The problem with Necrovision is that it's not very good. I mean in a campy way its fun, but it's not a very good game :v:
However, there are some great WWI games like Toy Soldiers (Get the complete one on Steam, has the Cold War one with it and the original has lots of improvements), Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Sid Meier's Ace Patrol, Rise of Flight, and Verdun.
And of course, there's always The Trench: 1916 if that ever gets a release.

I don't think I can really argue with that. I enjoy it, it's fun. I like the combos, there's a pretty decent amount of weapon and combo variations that kept me pretty entertained. Game of the year it isn't, though. I actually really need to go back and finish it and the expansion, I was almost done when I stopped playing it.
I started playing NecroVision recently (only an hour in, mind you), and I'll agree it feels a little clunky and stodgy, especially in terms of selecting the offhand things for your pistol. That said however I like that you have a kick as well as melee, which is always nice for a burly brawl, and Mr Shotty is satisfyingly meaty.
Also I'm getting slight vibes of Painkiller here and there, most notably the feel and look of the engine. Turns out I was right to feel that, since The Farm 51 was partially founded by two of the devs from People Can Fly. Here's hoping it gets better over the next hour or so, since so far it's been German troops and zambies.
Lost Company is much better than the original NecroVision. Minus the flying levels. Fuck those. They're dumb.

I've been loving Verdun lately. Great running 2 squads in TS.

Is it due to having the magic system introduced earlier? Because I heard that the magic in NecroVision Original is introduced a bit later on into the campaign, after you beat the initial bad guy in a tank versus his massive scorpion tank a'la Wild Wild West.

Yeah, it certainly is campy fun. I wouldn't rank it on any GOTY lists, but its certainly a unique and interesting game. And Like ironman17 said, you can kick!

There was a time Verdun was considered to be a dead project, like back in 2011 when I started following it. I was so happy to find out it wasn't, and it keeps getting better.
Every good first-person shooter should have a kick of some description, since even if the guns are great it still helps to have some form of enjoyable melee. Even just a melee weapon and a kick can make for fun brawling, even without a block or a grab.
That said, being able to parry a rocket would be fucking awesome, as would grabbing a dude and perform a redunkulous wrestling move like Travis Touchdown. Yep, if I ever design an FPS, there would be kicking, blocking and grabbing to flesh out the melee combat and allow for epic brawling.
Remember me is a fucking good game. Pick it up if you got the cash.

Ah shit, that's what bugged me about RM
Although I'm really digging the WW1 vampire thing
I don't know how to feel about this game. I'll probably pick it up on a steam sale.

I mean...like, they just announced that it exists. It probably won't come out until [del]the end of the year/next year[/del] 2017 anyway. You got time.
E: I am bad at reading.
I'm optimistic about this, I think it's nice that they're probably going to go to a classic Gothic vampire feel rather than "Modern Vampires". Plus the inspiration from Vampire: The Masquerade is a nice green flag, along with the inspiration from The Strain.

The game's not bad, but not really good either.
It introduces some new things at the beginning and that's it, that's what you get for the rest of the game. The game became repetitive after a while.

I enjoyed the story, the combat, and the unique mechanics but unfortunately the QTEs kinda ruined it for me. It seems like such a simple fuckup, but when you're having a blast going through some crazy boss fight and then suddenly an unexpected QTE pops up and missing a single button causes you to have to do often large portions of the fight over again. Ruining the game's flow right at the climax of a fight is like a game dev 101 fuckup, and it brought me out of it so much I never ended up finishing it, though I might eventually
WW1 vampire theme seems like it could be fun.
It got me thinking, it would be kind of cool to have a vampire game set during the cold war / mobster times.
Possibly have an agency in each country that is either trying to harness the disease or destroy it, while having a pretty fun storyline.
