So has anyone tried the new google chrome beta? mine just updated today. I've been using the bookmark sync service since it went live on beta, it works like a dream, but that's not the only new feature. They have now finally added the ability for plug-ins and extensions. Its nice to see them finally get up to date with Firefox. Although its in beta and most of the plug-ins are shit at the moment, there are still some really good ones. currently I've got: -Beautify Facebook - makes facebook look alot better in general design -Cooliris - http://www.cooliris.com/ -Facebook Adblock - Blocks all those annoying Facebook ads -Facebook Notifications - Same thing you have on facebook that tell you if someone commented on your facebook, but on google chrome -Google Mail Checker - google mail plug-in, tells you how many emails you have etc. -Google Quick Scroll - Lets you jump to the information a page you searched for. (useful) -Google Translate - lets you translate any page on the fly to any language you want.(well most, like 40+) so has anyone else tried it yet? If so whats your thoughts? ------LINKS------ Here is a link to the beta for anyone who needs it: http://www.google.com/landing/chrome/beta/ Also here is the blog for the new features : http://chrome.blogspot.com/ Here is the extensions too: https://chrome.google.com/extensions?hl=en-GB -----------------
Havn't used it but I'll try it now. Would help if you included a link in the thread.

Use the Dev channel if you're man enough. Beta channel is for wimps and pregnant women.
but what if a boat I'm on sinks I'd prefer not having to swim
You walk on the water because using the Dev channel makes you Jesus' brother. Rufus.
Been using all the features you posted for months. Get Dev channel.
Finally, something that brings Chrome up with Firefox. Extensions/Plugins. Fuck me they download, install and appear instantly. Google are so fucking cool! The IE Extension finally fixes all compatibility issues.
Does the dev channel release binaries or source code?
I can't freakin wait till extensions are enabled for the OS X beta.
is the OSX beta any good?
is the OSX beta any good?
Yeah, it's nice. Only complaints are that the download animation (you know the big blue arrow) is laggy as hell and the scrolling feels a bit sluggish (I'm using my macbook pro's touchpad.)
Only reason i ask is one of mates wants to try it
Ah, I see. It's worth a try, but I wouldn't use it as my main browser.
