IRIS can be whatever you want it to be, such as an alarm clock, watch, cell phone, e-reader, tablet, or gaming device. You simply slide the edge of the flexible display outward or inward.
what is this i don't even
since when have they invented holograms? this just seems like the jetsons or something.
Damn it looked fake when she stretched it out. lol Would be cool though.
Next generation? More like 2050
There's no chance this will be possible in 2015. If it was though, my way to turn off the alarm would probably end up being grabbing one of the birds and breaking its neck.
"ay-soos"? Hell, I just say "asses".
I've always called it ay-suh-ss
I'm not fond of the idea of more technology and networking saturation than we already have. Facebook is too integrated and universal for me. The potential for abuse of this technology is simply too great.
All I really need is a laptop and a phone... don't see how this is physically possible, looks like it just creates matter. probably fragile as fuck and there's no way to make holograms with that dinky little base station
there is literally no fucking way
:10bux: says hologram tech as depicted in this video is physically impossible
:20bux:
2015? What? We don't even have the power laces yet.

power laces? is that like a smartphone for your shoe or [editline]15th April 2011[/editline]
I'm not fond of the idea of more technology and networking saturation than we already have. That alarm clock looks incredible.

Mised call?
I'd hate to wake up and immediately look at the ceiling to see "5 mised calls, 3 unread messages, 5 emails and 29 facebook notifications". Just doesn't seem like a nice wake up atmosphere to me, rather get dressed maybe I have breakfast etc before I even feel like wanting to know that shit.
I would hope that with all the effort they'd have to put in to make this kind of wizardry, someone would think to put a few options in to turn that kind of stuff off.
It's pretty noticeable that the gadget was edited into the video, but it would be awesome if it is real.

I find this to be a slightly better. Also doens't have the annoying voiceover.

Not as cool, but more realistic. No idea how the whole "screen changing size" thing could ever work, though.
That bird is a master fucking troll... With this system will their be mechanisms implemented from the games or a way to mod in a birdshot shotgun too get rid of it?
Are you sure? Looked pretty damn real to me...
Change your post back to that captain obvious image macro, it makes you look more of an ass.
Change your post back to that captain obvious image macro, it makes you look more of an ass.
Caught me, thought it was a bit harsh though.
Last I was aware, IRIS stood for Integrated Raster Imaging System
I don't understand the point of this if it isn't real.
Dear god look at the fingerprints on that fucker :byodood: [editline]16th April 2011[/editline] At least Asus is giving us a realistic idea of what it'll look like
