Even a cursory glance at the iOS titles available in the App Store will show a huge number of games available. More than Sony or Nintendo, Apple is in the driving seat of mobile gaming. The launch of the iPhone 5 continued to push the design envelope available to developers, but it’s the iPad mini that is going to have the bigger impact on the iOS gaming world.
The size and weight of the iPad mini make it a very good choice as a gaming machine. It’s much more portable than the iPad so easier to carry, it’s lighter and thus easier to hold and move for tilt controlled gaming, but unlike the high performance benefits of the iPhone 5, the iPad mini’s biggest contribution is going to be a consolidation of the platform.
I think I'll have to agree with this! Some say how the an iPad can possibly be too big, or an iTouch possibly be too small, but I think the mini is just the perfect size when it comes to gaming. The iPad can be big (and sometimes a bit obnoxious) when it comes to gaming in confined spaces like on a plane or a tight bus/subway. And the iTouch can obviously be too small for more big-scaled interactive gaming. I think the mini can offer a pretty nice platform for mobile gaming. The conclusion is ... I want one!
The entire article + what OP said was a great laugh!
What the fuck is an iTouch?
the consensus pretty much everywhere is that the size of the ipad mini is really nice
i own 3 tablets and gaming on anything near 10 inches is just terrible
Touch-screen gaming is a joke.

Anyone not living under a rock should know that he means an iPod Touch.

For FPS, but on many other genres it works very well. I've had no problems playing GTA3 on my iPad.
What the fuck is an iTouch?
The unofficial name for the iPod Touch.
Apple are pioneers of gaming. Where would be be without such masterpieces as Angry Birds?

No, for basically anything more complex than Angry Birds.
I've played GTA3 on an iPad and it does a pretty good job as much as it can. It's still horrible to play. Max Payne on Android does a fairly decent job too, but the lack of physical feedback is just euuuuuugh.
just the fact that there is a "mobile gaming world" is fucking sad
Apple are pioneers of gaming. Where would be be without such masterpieces as Angry Birds?
most andriod users on fp don't play mobile games anyway, they're too busy putting it up their bums.

yeah i know it's right up there with famine and genocide
the only 3d game i've seen that i have no problems with is pinball
i mean all you do is poke the two halves the screen

lets not forgot about those starving kids in africa while you're at it
lets not forgot about those starving kids in africa while you're at it
what do you think famine means?
just the fact that there is a "mobile gaming world" is fucking sad
why would it be sad? we're making mobile phones advanced enough to play "modern" games (ie more than just tetris and the basics) - that's cool enough as is.
what do you think famine means?
oh no no no, world hunger and starving african children are two separate issues entirely
get with the times
I guarantee 90% of the people who mock the mobile gaming world play games on their phone every single day.
What the fuck is an iTouch?
The thing you do at night. Also the reason that Apple is monopolizing the market.

I don't. My phone is one of those discontinued Casio Brigades. It does what it was built to do, phone shit.
I remember playing COD zombies on my iPod 2g and wondering why everyone else on the 4th gens were getting more responsive gameplay
.. then I read my specs
Is everyone ignoring the fact that the Nexus 7 exists and has the Tegra 3?
You know, that quad-core mobile chip designed do kick ass at mobile gaming?

But the screensize isn't practical

those fucking cunts spending time on a train
should've taken a gaming pc with them to play real video games
not a gaming laptop though because those are terrible too
and not a not a gaming laptop because the specs are terrible
idk, mobile games on the iphone aren't that much fun to me. like for a few minutes of play, but then that kills my battery and my phone is important to not be dead
and the games are cheap but idk they aren't fun? i mean i played the shit out of my DS and the iphone has better hardware but as a game device i don't think it's nearly the same thing.

1) How do you know they're even using Android phones
2) You're being just as much of a jackass by claiming everyone here who owns an Android is as much of a luddite as some of the people in these threads ranting about how mobile gaming is the apocolypse. Most of us are perfectly reasonable

i'm not sure which one I like more
"think of the poor starving children" or "think of the poor bored salarymen"
I prefer "think of the angry spergs stuck in the 90's" (me) myself
I like doing crosswords on smartphones, and even then I spend half the time fighting with the touch screen to click the right thing.
But the screensize isn't practical
I can't really imagine playing anything other than the most casual of games on anything larger than a phone without like a wireless controller or something. Things like angry birds seems to work fine because it's just a tap and drag game basically, but I find it really annoying trying to use the standard virtual joystick/buttons on a tablet.
1) How do you know they're even using Android phones
have you tried sticking iphones up your bum? the form factor is all off
