• R7 260X random Black Checkered Squares

Bought an R7 260X, hooked it up, everythings fine. Booted up a game of War Thunder and suddenly noticed black checkered squares popping up completely randomly, like every other 3 games or so, otherwise the game was smooth as butter And then just a moment ago, while in-game, the mountains went all black and started flashing, first time this has ever happened. Nothing crashed or anything and I was still able to play fine but I eventually quit and restarted the game to see if it happened again...and nothing, perfectly normal What the hell? It seems to happen in the most random circumstances, like browsing facebook or watching a movie, it's obviously the graphics card but fuck, do I need to take this back and get it replaced? EDIT: it's not an overheat issue, card runs cool at 30C steady EDIT2: could it be my old Nvidia graphics driver? i'm uninstalling it now
Try installing a different version of the AMD drivers and see if the problem goes away. If it doesn't, you probably have a defective card and need to RMA it.

Beginning to think it's a defective card...:(
Try your card in another PC to be sure. Could you post a full speccy and the PSU brand plus make?

However since reinstalling my drivers last night, I've yet to experience any graphical issues but now Alt Tabbing out of game sorta freezes the computer for a second which never happened when I first booted it up yesterday Grrr
