A driver is in for a shock after workers at one of Scotland's busiest train stations cut up the car park around his vehicle, leaving it on a tiny island of asphalt.
Ahaha, Holy crap. Can't wait for the driver to come pick his car up
Probably be one hell of a story to tell, and also extremely relieving to see your intact car in a car park that got torn down.
Be right back, going to go get the train down and take pictures for myself.

Is that the car park across from platform 8?

I think so. Haven't been to Edinburgh for a while, though. Definitely looks like it, though.
when they turned up for work in the morning, a Mercedes had parked in the middle of the cordoned-off area.
Smug, self-important asshole.
Calling it now.
Awwww what nice guys, they even gave him a little ramp to drive back so he doesn't royally tear up his undercarriage when driving off.

You better deliver!

Was just thinking that, how nice of them!
Good on the workers. That must have really pissed them off, and they still left the car perfectly fine and even left him a ramp for when he comes back. They could easily have towed it away and fined him for it.
Is it really an issue to drive off of a spot like that?
I honestly wouldn't know, I've always driven high sitting cars.

He'll probably get his nice fancy Kompensator dusty and throw a hissy fit, but it looks like the ramp will allow him to get down without any damage.
That's way nicer than he really deserved. Good job to the workers for being so nice.
the best way to beat assholes. with humour.
This is the correct way of dealing with people like that

Doesn't that count as grand theft auto?
Doesn't that count as grand theft auto?
no
no
I thought if you moved a car more than x feet then it counted as theft.

I have the exact same car. :(
PS. the ramp is definitely required. It's an S-Class (extended sedan) and it's RWD. The car sits very low to the ground. It has the ability to raise and lower the ride height, but it's more for road comfort than terrain management.
Holy shit, is that my dad's car?
Why didn't they just move the car a couple of meters outside the construction site?
The owner deserved it.
I forgot to save it but a long time back I saw a pic of another Mercedes who illegally parked right in front of a fire hydrant. There was a fire and the firemen smashed his windows and ran the hose through his car. Also totally deserved it.

You may have the car, but do you believe that it entitles you to do whatever you want?

There's a lot of pictures of that, though this is the most common one as far as I know. Looks to be a bmw.
