The 200 "Rocket-Propelled Grenades Type "three" are probably Panzerfaust-3s. I wonder what "Heavy bazookas" refers to exactly. In any case, good on you Germany

This is awesome of you, Germany.

Hoping the Kurds become a "good" nation and make a difference in the Middle East for once. I haven't heard anything bad from them, so hope may die fast if I'm wrong.
Let's hope the Peshmerga puts these guns to good use. And considering the Kurds are fighting against our common enemy, let's hope that when the dust has settled, they help build a better Middle East.
They've got piles

kurds are one of the few non-shitty groups in the middle east, unsurprinsgly they also happen to be one of the most screwed over, the only good thing about the whole ISIS thing, is that the kurds are getting legitimacy from it.
This is great news. Hopefully the increased legitimacy of the Kurds doesn't cause further tension between them and neighboring countries once IS is demolished.
im sure a g36 is a fancy change for a kurd fighter

Kurds are very moderate Moslems who mostly just want their own autonomy in the region. They don't really care for much beyond their own borders unless it has the potential to effect them.
G3's are badass.

English article.
Aww yes, G3's. Literally German porn in rifle form.
Though probably baseless, I can't help in thinking this may be a repeat of what happened with the taliban. Where the US armed/backed them for their own gains, then backfiring massively.

Kurds have blood on their hands too. PKK and PJAK for example are nothing short of terrorists.

The Kurds are our friends, besides anyone's better than ISIS right now.
I seriously hope ISIS doesn't capture this stuff.

I dunno. I'd be fine with them capturing the 8,000,000 bullets. Well, part of them. In the face.
They can take the grenades, too. Sans pins.

The translation makes me think of the M20 super bazooka that West Germany used prior to developing the Pzf-44, but when I Google the German term I get German pages on the Carl Gustav recoilless rifle, could be those.

I hope they capture the G36s, give them to their elite fighters thinking they're super high end guns, and then they all melt on them during an intense firefight.

the US never armed the Taliban. The Taliban didn't even exist when we were supplying arms to counter the Soviet invasion.
Let's hope the kurds don't become turds.

You're thinking of the XM8. the G36 is a proven rifle and used in many countries. Mexico even makes their own version of it for domestic use.
Told ya murrica shoulda just given em M16s instead of AKs
All that domestic production... lost in time... like tears in the rain
You're thinking of the XM8. the G36 is a proven rifle and used in many countries. Mexico even makes their own version of it for domestic use.
Initial production G36s used domestically had plastic barrel trunions that would melt during sustained fire resulting in a wandering zero and a near useless rifle. They fixed it for export versions and later iterations sold to the Bundeswher.
The Mexican Xiuhcoatl is not related to the G36 in any way other than looks.

1. The original G36 was infamous for plastic trunions warping from heat and rendering the weapon near useless. This coincidentally was a good part of why the XM8 was so heat sensitive as it was based on these early G36 models; although as of the G36a2 this has been fixed.
2. Mexico uses the FX-05, which is not actually a G36 clone, they even showed HK all the designs when threatened with a lawsuit and after looking at them HK conceded that the weapon was not infringing their patents for the G36. While Mexican police use a large amount of German made G36 rifles, a plan to produce them locally fell through.
[Editline]yes[/editline]
3. Curse you mega chalupa ninjas.

Oh my. The modern MG-42 is being deployed for military related things.
