I've never agreed more with anything RPS before! I agree so much I made a shit post stating I agreed despite already rating it Winner, something I never dared to do. That's just how much I agree with this yessire.

I thought that had more to do with publishers buying scores
For that matter, giving high scores to unimpressive games harms that goal more than anything; after all, what is someone like Epert going to do when he decides to prove his point that games aren't art? The obvious answer is to go play some high-rated games, but if we give everything inflated scores what are they going to find? Certainly not that they were wrong.

the metaphor, no matter what works you use is always terrible.
i never enjoyed citizen kane as a movie anyways
technically, and cinematically it was great and amazing and i liked studying it but it just wasn't enjoyable for me and for games i wouldn't want them to be like citizen kane
