Buying a pre-built for upgrading. Help comparing please

So I've got a budget of around 500$, willing to go higher. But I'm buying a pre-built computer and upgrading the PSU and GPU. Which one of these computers seems better in the long run?

If you can upgrade PSU and GPU, you can build the entire thing >_>
The HP one is better
But build your own dawg
I'm sorry I just don't have the means or time to build my own PC. I'd really like to, but it'd be easier to just upgrade a pre-built one.
Building it from ground up is going to be cheaper then getting a prebuilt and upgrades.
Oh god why does everyone play the "I haven't got time or the experience" card? It's as easy as building with lego and takes a hour or two to actually build.
If you have neither the means nor the time to build your own, you're going to have a hell of a time installing your new PSU considering that that's easily the most time consuming part.
For a bit more than the second one you listed you can get a nice, midrange gaming computer.

All for $630. That's probably less than what you had planned on spending originally, and it will perform better than either of those prebuilts.

What you need to build a PC:
A screwdriver
Parts
Two arms
A few hours

Also, he'll probably need an OS, so get a 4850 and a Rana CPU if he does. He can get Windows 7 with $10 off with his motherboard.

You don't have thirty minutes?
And why wouldn't you want the experience of building it on your own? It's a great feeling of accomplishment.
And you save money by building it yourself.
All you can do is gain if you build it yourself.
It took me 2 hours to build a PC in a really small case on a school day with homework >_>. It really doesn't take that much time.
*2 hours INCLUDING OS install*
He's in Denmark...
It took me 30 minutes to remove my motherboard, replace with it with the same one (the old one got raped by lightning). Take out the processor, clean off the old thermal paste and put on new stuff, put it in the new motherboard and put on that pain in the ass intel heatsink, and put the rest back together, sure my cable management looks like shit but it runs just fine. (heat isnt an issue)
