I've had one since last June, I love my XFX HD4890! It's a XFX Radeon HD 4890 1GB xXx GDDR5 to be exact.
I'm thinking about buying another and Crossfiring them together.
Whats so great about the 4890s ?
if you buy one of these, or two in this
I'm thinking about buying another and Crossfiring them together.
horrible example of nerd syndrome, 5 blonde supermodels will surround you the very moment you run GTAIV for the very first time on high graphics
you don't even wanna know what happens when you try and run crysis

The pricetag. The 4890's about the same performance as the GTX 275, which is around $250, which is around the same performance and price as a 5830 (275 pulls out a bit better than a 5830 but they're close.)
but non in the UK ;(
But, if you OC a GTX 260 Core 216, it can be almost identical to a 275.
Wish I had a XFire mobo and $400 so I could get me those!

That he is trolling us.
I see no more 4890s in my country :frown:
What about the 4890's back?
4890's are kickass, especially 2 in crossfire :smug:
outperforms 5870's for £100 less

Okay I'm getting really confused here. 4890s own "are kickass, especially 2 in crossfire :smug:?" and 5870s own "for £100 less"?
what

Think you need to re-read my post.
He's saying that the 4890s are cheaper than and outperform the 5870s.
Really I didn't even know! Thanks for clarifying!
It's an amazing card. Have had mine for a few months and I love it.

im nerd
Fuck. I just ordered a 5870. Eh I bet I couldn't find any 4890's here in Iceland.
I can't wait till next month, 12 bucks an hour at geek squad :smug:. Hopefully these things'll be restocked.
I'm buying two on the 15th.
What's better cause I just bought another 8800gt used for 50 and are sli'ing them.
I could sell them and make around 150.
Stick with 8800's? Or go with 4890? Or another alternative?
4890

I'm going to have to partially disagree with you on this one, because for some reason, a large batch of GTX260 216SP are horrible at overclocking. For instance, the one I got cannot have its core clocked pushed beyond 655MHZ (Same with shader clock and memory bus speed, limited at a similar ratio), even with voltage raised.

One 4890 will out-muscle two 8800s.

Not to mention the temperatures are already absurd. My 275 pushes 90C in Crysis and Furmark.

5870 are much better than 4890s.
