So I wish to dual boot on ubuntu and w7. However, as far as I understand, you will get a screen each time you load up your pc, asking which one you would like to run. However, I wish it to automatically run w7 and run linux if I select it my self when I'm only going to browse the internet or other small things. It looks quite annoying to have the menu popping up everytime I boot. I was thinking of something like how you enter safe mode. You press a button and you get an option to go safe mode and obviously if you don't press that button, it just goes normal windows. Perhaps something similar is possible for my situation? Please do know that I know absolutely nothing of this and please do tell me if I am walking into to the wrong direction right now.
It's possible, I can press F8 or some shit to boot to windows xp but it boots by default to windows vista. Not sure how to get it that way though.
damn I got ubuntu running, but now everytime my pc loads, it goes to grub and asks me want I want I just want it to run w7 without asking and when I want ubuntu, I want to select it manually.
