We're a death/thrash metal band from Long Island, New York. Our influences include: Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Obituary, Death, and more. I like it. Sounds really old school.
Let the record show, I do backing vocals on the studio version of Rotting Corpse... my first foray into recording.
I like it. Sounds really old school.
Thanks man :D. We have plenty more songs coming. The Myspace has all the demo versions of our songs so far
which one are you?
Where on the island are you guys from? My guess is based upon your band picture somewhere in Nassau County.

I kinda dislike the vocals, sounds painful.
Cool shit, very old school. Reminds me of Obituary. Really good, better than I expected to be honest. Professional, sounds tight even though it's live. Well done :buddy:
I kinda dislike the vocals, sounds painful.
It's death metal, what were you expecting
Good stuff.
Not bad, not bad! I see a lot of potential. I have one tip for you guys though, even if old school death metal is great, do not get too attached to it. Great bands usually comes from the band trying to do something new or at least do something on their own!
SolidSnake, we're from Centereach [editline]15th October 2010[/editline] Lambeth, I'm the onebin the green shirt in the picture I posted
I haven't check it out,I will give you guys a listen later
Nassau County is a location on Long Island. It has half the population of the entire island and is not that big. I can read, I was just curious because "we're on Long Island" could mean almost two hours drive from me, or it could mean 15 minutes from me. That's just a couple towns over from me. You guys ever been to The Crazy Donkey (on stage, of course) before?
Reminds me of Slayer with growling, atleast from what I can actually hear.
The logo kinda lowered my expectations but it was pretty damn awesome.
Not bad. Vocals sound a bit weak to me, but that could be a multitude of things, not the least of which being the fact you're going for an old-school Death sound. I like the fact you decided to put up live recordings, rather than "studio" recordings (and that the quality is good). :buddy:
The logo kinda lowered my expectations but it was pretty damn awesome.
Same. Personally, I would change that logo myself to something less "generic deathcore band"y, but that's completely up to you guys. That's my own two cents.
Looks like Cannibal corpse
I like, sounds great.
Listened to all 3 songs, in their eyes is the best.
Being the nice fucker that I am, I've decided to host the original recording of Rotting Corpse and In Their Eyes on mediafire, they are both longer than the newer versions on the myspace page, and IMO I like them more... regardless, http://www.mediafire.com/?79qta5y53paacl8 Download it... especially if you have Last.FM

If you're 18 or over, you should totally come
I just listened to the studio versions, and I like them. The singing is alot clearer. You should work on the mixing a bit though.
The singer should do normal singing, he sounds better that way. Also, guitar tones are pretty bad.
you just don't clean sing in a death metal band Not primarily anyway. Nothing wrong with incorporating it but growls are a staple of the death metal genre. And I agree you logo either looks like a really bad goregrind band or a deathcore band. get something actually good, I never liked the look of that stuff. Logo can make quite an impact on first opinions. When I entered the thread and saw that logo I instantly thought it wouldn't be very good (I was wrong, but that is just an example.) a good logo is important.

I thought it was 21+ exclusively. Hm...I'll think about it. Not sure if going to a death metal anything is a good idea just yet considering I'm still recovering from some major leg surgery, but I might come in December.

That or the band name in a readable font with a very stylized letter somewhere. We've been working on a new logo for a while. We have like 10 different ones. When i get them from my friend, i'll post them here and see which ones you guys like, i wanna go for something like this: Reckless Decimator was one of my old bands in case you're wondering
Well drawn. I don't like it though, seems too cliche. Hopefully the other ones are a bit more off the beaten path.
Why do death metal bands always have to try and be so br00tal as possible. You're a bunch of skinny teenagers, stop pretending.
