• Computer Restarts on "Windows Starting..." Screen.

I just built a new computer this morning and everything went without a hitch, until I tried turning it on... It loaded normally but when it went to the Windows Starting screen, it simply restarted. I'm using my old HDD from my old computer and I think the fact that I didn't wipe the HDD might be the problem but I really don't know. The Specs are. -Antec 500w EA500D -2Gb of 1066 DDR3 -ASUS M4A88T-M -AMD X3 2.9

Moving HDDs from one computer in a seamless transition does not work, given all the drivers and other shit that would conflict. I tried running my older XP HDD w/out wiping on a build just for kicks, BSOD'd on startup. Best to save any data you can on another drive and format the old HDD.
Did you even reinstall windows? That's pretty much the most basic thing you have to do
Do you people even know how to properly troubleshoot windows? OP: Press F8 after POST (splash screen when you first turn on the computer, and before the "windows starting" screen) and go down to "Disable Automatic Reboot on System Failure". When it gets to that point where it reboots, there will be a bluescreen. Find the Bug Check code, it might be 0x000000ED or 7E. But put it down here anyways. This gives us room to properly troubleshoot a windows issue.
I was having the same problem a few seconds ago. Tried the F8 thing, it asked me from where to boot, I accidentally selected "floppy drive". It froze for a few seconds and booted back to Windows...
