• Just upgraded my computer - Looking for some tweaks

So I'm graduating high school tomorrow, and got to go on a mini-shopping spree at a computer store. I ended up buying a new motherboard, a new CPU, and a new GPU. As well as a slightly bigger power source. This is a quick snapshot of what I now have. I went from an Intel Duo Core, to a Quad Core, which is pretty awesome, and an NVidia 9500 to the 260. I was wondering what kind of tweaks I can use now that I have a quad core, because I keep seeing things about multi-threading and shit like that. I'm not exactly a computer genius and just need a few tweaks to help all my games perform their best :buddy:
How much did you pay for that stuff? The Core 2 processors are kind of outdated now that the i3/i5/i7 came out. Since you were buying a new motherboard anyway, you could've gotten a socket 1156 one and a i5 750 processor. About the tweaking, you can't really do much about it. Some programs have better multicore support then others, while some don't even use more than 1 core.
I agree with the post above me, try looking whether you can get a refund so that you can buy a 1156 mobo woth an i5 750.
