Not fooling anyone. BT and Virgin just don't want anyone to realise they charge top dollar for a shitty service.

Birmingham City represent! Business address, talk talk no down time solid connection all day every day mofo. Niggers scared to throttle our connection the local firms just sue their ass for loss of business. But yea.... If this goes ahead fuck talktalk 2.0 MB/S connection Planning downloads over night sucks, though for £15 a month + unlimited telephone calls, who can complain.
While BT has pretty bad rep for customer service and their ADSL service, Infinity is fantastic.
I second this, even when I had a fault I didn't even have to go through a call center to get an engineer out. Used their online customer service thingy, they ran a few tests (which failed) got an engineer in a few days later. This was when I was "only" getting 20 Mbps out of my estimated 55.
While BT has pretty bad rep for customer service and their ADSL service, Infinity is fantastic.
Where Infinity is actually AVAILABLE... Besides, shouldn't their normal standard be high quality anyway? Before Infinity, I had horrible service AND one of the most unstable download speeds.
I've had great service from Virgin.
Great service if they're in the area. From what the article says, I'm getting that the local council is sick to death of them and BT refusing to actually upgrade the lines in the area, and are going to do it themselves, which has led to BT and Virgin both bitching because someone else (the council) is going to operate a better service in that area. It's like my local area, the two roads adjacent to me have fibre optics, I'm on a shitty old line instead, and nothing's being done by the line holder or my ISP, as they frankly don't care, as long as they're getting cash.
