I have mixed opinions about this. What is Black Isle without any of its original developers? It's just a name.
I find it weird that no one knows why this is happening.

Because they sell more copies if they use an Already existing name.

Interplay is still floundering around
Seems nice if they can get some talent aboard, but really.
Can Interplay afford this? I thought their total capital was 4 dollars, 2 bottlecaps and a piece of chewed bubble gum.
The Interplay CEO still has Superman 64 money to spend it seems.

Good attempt at being smart there, but no dice.
It's essentially the same as the brand recognition tactic. Neither really work at all.

I'd sort of agree with you. Some purists bash the game, but F3 was a pretty astounding title in its own right. Dunno about greatest game of all time, but it's definitely up there.
Not to mention its modability. Sweet Jesus, the mods for that game.

I don't get why everyone says this, it was amazing until you got to Vault 112.
Seriously, the opening was fucking beautiful. Being born, growing up, having a normal life underground until shit hits the fan, people are trying to kill you and to top it all off, you leave the Vault for the first time and you are blinded by the sun.
Perfect pacing and I have absolutely no idea why more games don't open like this.
And just wandering around the wasteland was awesome. If you don't have a companion, you have that lonely feeling where you wander across a destroyed planet, with nothing but the harsh wind as your companion.
I can forgive Fallout 3 for completely fucking up after entering Vault 112, I don't get why people cannot and dismiss the whole story as terrible because of the second half of the [B]main story[/B] of a huge RPG.

Fallout 3 was a good game, sure, but calling it the greatest game of all time is just wrong, it fails in so many aspects.
it was still pretty fun.
but i would have loved to play Van Buren, just to have seen what it could have been.
Fallout 3 was the best elder scrolls game ever.
