The people that want a refund have never been so excited and disappointed for a release of a game lol

Can you refund a game you bought in EA after it releases?
Can you refund a game you bought in EA after it releases?
Yes. I think you can still refund it even if you have more than 2 hours.
I played 4 hours and tried a few times to refund but it didn't work.
I think the refund "timer" resets once the game gets out of EA. Killing Floor 2 had something similiar.

Wait till it releases
noooooooooo I was so excited to get $30 into my steam wallet next week
Why do people hate this game again?
Why do people hate this game again?
As far as I can tell it's because of them neglecting bugfixes and optimization in favour of content and releasing DLC when the game is still in early access. Despite all that it's still pretty fun, IMO it's easily the best of all the survival games. The bugs eventually annoyed me enough that I mostly stopped playing, but me and 8 or so friends had a lot of fun on a private server before shutting it down.

Focusing on adding new features rather than leveling the game out for a stable release.
Releasing DLC in EA
Terrible performance, on both the server and the client
Networking is nightmare fuel (I don't think they have deemed the rawUDP thing stable yet either)
The game can easily get 90-100GB in size, and until somewhat recently, were trying to ship dedicated servers at 40GB
Jacking prices before stable release

If we're throwing that title around then I raise you Unturned.

Prior to playing Ark Unturned was definitely it for me, and we had a longstanding server, but honestly there just wasn't enough content to keep everyone interested. That might be different now since there's been a lot of updates since, but there was just so much to do in ark.
I mean just look at this, it's ridiculous:

Whereas most survival games have empty dead worlds, you can fly over a river in ark and there's such a density of different creatures that it practically looks like a functioning ecosystem. Lots of the creatures have special effects too from gatherings resources autonomously to throwing Monkeys that ride on your shoulders over walls to unlock doors to being able to fly up to and land on walls to function as a hanging turret.
Eh, game still runs like shit.

30 fps on medium-low settings on a gtx 970 and i7 3770k is pretty gross
Granted the last time I tried to play it was over a year ago.
Black Mesa isn't much better but unlike Ark they at least have integrity and (usually) state good reasons for their delays.

At least Black Mesa gets me a solid 60 FPS indoors and the reason it doesn't run better is because they're pushing the limit of their engine as hard as they can without going the Titanfall route and replacing engine components with their own.
Ark has no excuse for running so poorly, not on the engine they're using.
