the scales look really matt and not so shiny, but the skin looks like it is covered in oil and is much shinier and wet. slimy like. but snakes are not slimy

but of course in general this is just lovely

Just for the aesthetic and visual purpose I made her upper body shiny, that part isn't snake though so I think it can be shiny while the scales can be matte. Maybe she is a bit like a cat and lick herself clean, up to you to picture why she is so shiny.

I think it's the fact that is looks slimy, which is exactly how snakes are supposed to look, until you touch them and remember they're not :)
