Jeremy Clarkson still "doesn't see a problem" with some of the language he used
Jeremy Clarkson is not "untouchable" and Top Gear will change as a result of its racism scandals, the head of BBC television has said, as he warns no star presenter is bigger than the corporation.Danny Cohen, the director of television, likened the BBC to a football club, saying no-one is bigger than the team regardless of their value.
Speaking at the Edinburgh International Television Festival, Cohen has now confirmed the scandal will "impact" on how the show is made in the future, as he reiterated he was "incredibly unhappy" about Clarkson's language.
Earlier this year, the long-running BBC programme was criticised after a video appearing to show Clarkson using then-word while reciting the nursery rhyme Eenie Meenie Miney Moe was leaked online.
Replace Clarkson and the show is ruined. Literally the main reason I and many others watch is the dynamic between the three presenters.
The execs at bbc must know this very well so I really doubt anything will happen unless Clarkson manages to get himself put in jail or something.

This, anything else and it'll be worse than American Top Gear.
remove or displace clarkson at all and you kill top gear.
Top gear is literally those 3 in the exact order, anything else and the series falls apart. Look at all the attempts with USA, Austraila and Etc, none of them are the same or even close.
Holy shit who cares talk about PC police.
OH NO SOMEONE MADE A JOKE AND A GRANNY GOT OFFENDED.
When are they gonna drop this shit
It's like everyone's over it except the BBC.
Alan Partridge was right, the BBC is full of tossers, even if it was satire.
It's like the BBC don't actually want viewers then, he's a dick at times but fundamentally the show is made by James May, Clarkson and Hammond, you change anything about that and you basically just put a bullet in top gear.

Exactly. There's a reason the U.S. TopGear failed.
Was the "racist" comment even that bad? I mean fucking hell I've heard much worse.
Plus it was a song that he quoted.

It really doesn't matter what he said at this point, he's apologized sincerely many times now and it keeps getting brought up for no reason.
Top Gear is pretty much the only reason why our family is subscribed to the BBC America channel at all.
It's pretty bullshit. IIRC there were TWO complaints made. TWO.
Plus the other 'racism' was from an unaired segment that Clarkson specifically asked to be removed due to what he said. Someone found it and thought they'd make a quick buck.
I seriously hope BBC is not going to interfere with the next Top Gear seasons, seasons are already so small and with months of time between them, so make the Top Gear crew do whatever they want with it till the day comes they decide to stop Top Gear.

Plus it wasn't even aired. He specifically requested that the footage not be aired because it sounded like he said the word 'nigger', which he was trying to avoid. This whole thing is a result of the Mirror getting hold of the footage a few years later and telling everyone to be offended over it.
Didn't like less than 100 people complain out of an audience of over a million?
If literally less than 0.01% of your audience complain over something you said, then odds are that 99.9% of people see nothing wrong with it. If 99.9% of people see nothing wrong with it, you can be sure that objectively there was no problem with the language he used.

People can be offended and not complain, that's why complaints are given so much weight. This entire thing is dumb, though.
For all you know, guys, they might not sack him. I'm guessing, one route is they will review episodes of Top Gear more extensively before airing them. That's a probable guess.
Which means less funny shit.
What Clarkson should do is just leave anyway and make the BBC look like the bad ones. I'm 100% sure that another network would give him a show.
God forbid they want him to stop being racist, utter travesty Top Gear's ruined, just cancel it right now.
Saying he's racist is implying he thinks poorly of other races.
If he goes, Top Gear goes. No one could replace him and that special chemistry in the trio.
I'd like to think that if Clarkson is sacked, Hammond and May will both leave in protest as well.

I mean, why would they want to stay on with a company that won't stick up for it's justified celebrities?
Touch Clarkson and they've killed a goldmine.

Yep. I wouldn't want to work for a company where I can get sacked for saying something that offends someone somewhere.
All this over 2 complaints.
Jesus fucking christ
And the real sad part is, what he's under fire for now, is something someone dug up from years ago, that wasn't aired, nor was it even fucking intelligible

You can't replace POWERRR!
You have the slow one, the fast one, and the American. It's the holy trinity.
