Got a new laptop recently and installed a couple of games on it, but when I tried to play any of the steam ones online, they wouldn't work, I'd open the server list and it'd bring up maybe 400 servers, then stop. if I tried refreshing again, no servers would respond the query, if I try and join any server on the initial list, they'd say "server not responding. I can join servers on non-steam games fine.
I'm using the wifi off the modem downstairs, where I used to play steam games on the computer there, and they worked fine.
Just wondering if anyone else had similar problems or if they know how to fix it.
disable anti-virus and firewall software and try again.
