Hello , I have my XP computer for something like 4 years , and I have got loads of important programs , which installers I cant find now. I saw that there was a program to move to 7 without deleting your stuff , but it costs 49.99 $ Is there a free way to move all your files completely
make sure you ccan handle win 7
What I would do is just install Windows 7 to the disk without formatting. It'll throw everything into C:\Windows.old\. Then you can copy back your files and you need to still have access to the registry in C:\Windows.old\Windows\System32\Config and C:\Windows.old\Documents and Settings\UserProfile\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\Usrclass.dat
Use the trolling method: Upgrade to Vista, then to Seven. :downs: But seriously, Panda knows his stuff.
