So apparantly the drivers for my AMD Radeon HD 6990M are not installed, when i try to intall them i get an error message without any further explanation, when i ask to view the log it redirects me to some useless page on internet explorer with virtually no information on it. I also tried to download software from the AMD website that woul autodetect my graphic's card and install the appropriate software, but it said it can't find my product nor my OS. I'm really at a loss here and any help would be greatly appreciated.
You are doomed! Doomed I tell yeh!
Uninstall all AMD display drivers you've got, download driver sweeper and run it in safe mode to clean out the bullshit that was left behind and try the installer again.
Uninstall all AMD display drivers you've got, download driver sweeper and run it in safe mode to clean out the bullshit that was left behind and try the installer again.
I'll try that now ok, that didn't work, the driver autodetect thing now managed to detect my graphic's card but when i try to install the driver, i get this error message: it translates to: AMD Catalyst Mobility can not be downloaded because your computer contains incompatible hardware/software. De version of your graphic adapter is not supported. Contact the manufactor of your laptop to adjust your graphic driver.
might want to at least tell us what model laptop you're using, I assume it has two video cards and switches to a lower power one when the 6990 isn't in use, so you need a special driver.
Nevermind, I fixed it. Just for your information, the dell support site is a piece of shit.
