UNDATED (CNN) - Abercrombie & Fitch is a company known for its racy ads targeted at teens, but many parents think the company has gone too far with marketing "push-up" style swimsuits to pre-teen girls as young as seven years of age. And some experts agree, saying the clothing can be dangerous. "I just don't think that there's a reason for seven-year-old girls to be worrying about having their body look good in stuff. They should be playing." "It gets young girls to think about themselves in sexual ways before that's developmentally appropriate." Abercrombie & Fitch released a statement saying it has removed the words "push-up" from the description of the top on its website, however, the "padded" tops are still available.
http://www.wavy.com/dpp/news/strange_news/padded-tops-for-pre-teen-girls Not gonna lie, this is kind of sickening. Another reason why I never shop at Abercrombie and Fitch, besides the fact that I can't fit into any of their clothes.
Seven year olds are considered pre-teens? I consider that range to be more 10-12.
