What is The aquabats! super show?
The Aquabats! Super Show! is an American action-comedy television series which premiered on March 3, 2012 on the United States cable network The Hub. The series was created by Christian Jacobs and Scott Schultz, both the creators of the Nick Jr. series Yo Gabba Gabba!, and Jason deVilliers.
A mix of live-action and animation, The Aquabats! Super Show! is based on the superhero mythology of The Aquabats, a real-life Californian rock band which series co-creator Jacobs fronts. Styled similarly to the campy aesthetic of the 1960s Batman series, each episode follows the comic adventures of The Aquabats, a musical group of amateur superheroes, as they continually defend the world from a variety of villains and monsters.
Who are the Aquabats?
The Aquabats are an American rock band formed in Orange County, California in 1994. The group's line-up has fluctuated significantly throughout their career, with singer The MC Bat Commander and bassist Crash McLarson as regular fixtures. Since 2006 the band's lineup has also included keyboardist Jimmy the Robot, drummer Ricky Fitness, and guitarist Eagle "Bones" Falconhawk.
They are best known for their mythology, in which they claim to be superheroes on a quest to save the world from evil through music. As a part of this mythology the band members have adopted superhero pseudonyms and dress in matching costumes. Their eclectic live show often includes onstage "battles" with costumed foes, and the band has built up an elaborate and ever-changing backstory of their origins and adventures, along with a roster of allies and enemies.

The MC Bat Commander (MCBC), also known as Christian Jacobs, is the lead singer and fearless leader of the Aquabats. The albums also name him as The Caped Commander or The Bat Commander. The MCBC is the headman who, with his varying voice and humorous lyrics, can bring many different feelings to songs. He is very charismatic on stage by jumping around, hand jiving, dancing, and engaging the crowd at live shows.
Jimmy The Robot

Jimmy the Robot is the keyboardist and saxophone player for The Aquabats. He joined shortly after the Return of the Aquabats in 1997 and has been with the band ever since. He was originally known as Jaimie the Robot courtesy of Catboy who had spent some time in Uraguay and called Jimmy by his spanish name.
James Randall The Robot Part I, or Jaime (HI-mee) the Robot, or Jimmy the Robot or Robot Cakes, or RoBeast, or J_TR, was born on May 3rd 1996. In order to create a more perfect android, The Professor presented this plan: to make a more perfect robot, we will work really hard to make a robot. So he did. And what a guy!
Crash McLarson

Crash plays bass and and is currently one of the only two remaining founding members. However, in the very, very early days of the band, he played trombone. He is considered second in command of the band by some. He is the strongest of the Aquabats and can smash any foe with his punk rock fists. Also, he can grow larger... a bit.

Guitar playing axe man with a knack for power chords, Eagle Bones can shred with the best of them. His guitar can not only blow you away with its rocking power licks but comes equipped with a sonic electro beam converter that can transform his guitar into a lazer blasting shred stick!

Oh yes, complete with some not so subtle nods to his old work:

It's actually Matt Chapman there and he actually uses the strong bad voice for that character.
So what am I doing in this ancient thread? Just saying it's on Netflix right now and I've been watching them since I got home from work. It is an amazing show. Like a half parody of Power Ranger, half parody of old Hanna Barbera cartoons, half musical, kinda weird variety show thing. It's so hard to describe but it's so amazing. I especially love all their budget monster movie special effects, you can tell they had a lot of fun making it.
And here's a random clip just because:

Also it took me a while to notice weird al also makes a cameo a few times.

And also not to mention Mega64 has been a big fan of them since 2000 (or around that time)
