Over on the Ask Capcom forum, Christian Svensson reveals Capcom US has been attempting to get the PC versions of the Mega Man X series on GOG, an online distribution platform for DRM-free PC games. However, it sounds like there's been some hurdles getting the games over:
Capcom is increasing positive on the PC side lately.
Interesting but it's way too easy just to get an emulator and a rom. I would care more if it was a new Megaman game. Capcom doesn't need to gauge interest through sales of older titles, there are fans literally clawing at the damn front door slobbering, screaming "MORE MEGAMAN."
I would buy them, as well as the Battle Network games.. could they Megaman legends as well?
They should do X collection

Battle Network is a little odd since those games were never on PC. Unbeknownst to many, the Megaman X games were always released on PCs (besides X2). So it's no surprise that Capcom is trying to get these games on some kind of digital distribution.
Dunno about Legends though. Were those released on PC?
To be honest, this is going overboard, but they need to do something like they did with Wily Wars, only not bad. Put all the Mega Man Games (Up to Mega Man 6) on a single game, then have a Megaman X Collection on a different game, then Mega Man Legends....
Kindof asking for alot but shouldnt Capcom still have every version of those games? Besides, SEGA Got away with a giant Sega Genesis collection, why cant Capcom make a Mega Man Series Collection series?

Megaman X Collection with all of the X games up to 6 + the Megaman Kart racer.
Megaman Zero Collection with all of the Zero games.
Although the first two never made it out of the US.

Actually yes, yes they were.
Still would be great if they'd port BN over to PC though.
This is awesome.

I'm holding a copy of it right now.
typing with one hand is tough
I wish we would get a new megaman game. They cant let megaman die.
Fuckin' Megaman X is the shit bro, that my childhood.
Seeing how they're only considering it for GOG, what's the chances it's just going to be the inferior DOS version of the game running on dosbox?
Lower quality music, no pilotable mechs, ect.
