Mogadishu attack: Ten killed in airport blasts
At least 10 people have been killed in two car bomb attacks near an entrance to the airport in Mogadishu, Somali police and eyewitnesses have said.
Thick smoke could be seen rising from the area, where there is also a base for African Union (AU) peacekeepers.
Local journalists said one of the bombs was detonated by a suicide attacker near a checkpoint. Another blast hit the airport's perimeter wall.
...
The militant Islamist group, al-Shabab, has said it was behind the blasts and its target was the AU force's headquarters.

I do wonder sometimes how much of this increase in terrorist attacks in the news is due to a rise in terrorism, and how much of it is down to the news reporting it more.
I just hope we can work together to help put an end to things like this, or reduce it as much as possible, without more people having to die.
How much of it gets reported on american news. Australia news usualy gives a quick run down whenever something like this happens.
I know you're trying to make a statement but could you please make your thread titles more damn distinctive from each other.

Well his name is MDeceiver after all.
I personally don't mind titles like this, a lot of people won't click on the thread if it was titled "Terrorist attack kills X in Somalia".

This actually has the opposite effect on me. I thought Facepunch hadn't made a thread on the Kabul attack until I noticed a thread called "Terror attack kills 80". I ignored it, I'm unsure why.

Because this shit happens in these countries all the time, of course people won't click it.

Afaik terror attacks have always been reported in the news, even from regions where that is "normal". But the rise in terror attacks in EU is sky fucking high right now.

I think it's funny that his titles bother you guys. Like yesterday the worst terrorist attack in a decade happened in Afghanistan and everyone assumed it was just business as usual because of the geopolitics of the area.
Terror attacks don't happen every day you know. If you listen closely to the bbc and other international news outlets these attacks that occur in the Muslim world are covered the same as any attack. It baffles me, especially since this is an international forum, that people think the title is misleading just because it isn't referring to an attack in their back yard.

Well at most people will click the thread, read the OP (Which in this case will probably be the only time) and just go, 'oh this happened in a place I don't really care'
