So the two F-16 pilots who were told exactly where to find Erdogan's plane and flew directly to it were convinced when they were told that it was a Turkish Airlines flight despite it being clearly marked as a government plane and having two jets escorting it? It was simultaneously done by a very small group that had practically no backing and were incredibly incompetent, and a very dangerous and calculating group that almost won.

Calling bullshit on the f16 bit. Everyone on FP knew exactly which plane was Erdogan's, if the coup plotters didn't know for sure then they were so incompetent that there was no way they were going to succeed.

Seems pretty out of place, at the very least they would of had it divert to another airfield. I'm more inclined the pilots just choked and didn't realize what they were apart of, other than it being a setup.
