can straterra enhance the effects of alcohol recreationally?

i know that straterra doesn't get you high on its own, but it says on the bottle if you drink with it you could possibly die or something. so anyways, does anybody think it would be worth it to parachute like 8 of the straterras and have like 3 or 4 shots of vodka

No, you'll probably either not feel the alcohol as much because of the pills or you'll fuck your organs pretty bad and possibly die.
strattera is an experimental medicine as it is. if you want to trailblaze and put your organs at major risk of dissolving, go for it. i personally would never fuck around with shit like that unless i knew for sure i wasn't frying my insides
Username fits
Good god, use your fucking brain please. It says you can die for a reason, why would you even want to chance that just to enhance the effects of alcohol? Just drink more.
I was prescribed Strattera for about a month before it started giving me severe acid reflux, it made me feel like my throat was being eaten away, it was a rare reaction to it apparently. But yeah, Strattera has no recreational effects, and adding alcohol to that equation won't help at all.
Atomoxetine's (Strattera) significant activities are as a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor and an NMDA antagonist. Neither should do anything to potentiate alcohol, in theory.
If you want to potentiate alcohol, I would say to use light doses of benzodiazepines, but stupidity is a major contraindication for this combination, so don't do it. You'll probably die in a fire -- just drink more.
I used to take concerta, when i drink alcohol, i feel very tired, but somehow it boosted my resistance to weed, i could smoke over and over and not feeling high as i would.

I'm almost certain that alcohol is also an NMDA antagonist, although a weak one. Combining two NMDA antagonists could be the the reason it's so dangerous.

Actually many NMDA antagonists (dissociatives for example) have a habit of potentiating alcohol so I wouldn't rule this possibility out.
However the NRI aspect should in theory reverse the effects of alcohol, making you have to consume more in order to get drunk.
the best thing to do to enhance the effects of alcohol is more drinking

I wouldn't say the NRI aspect would reverse the effects. It will partially reverse the physical impairment and energy loss, but you'll still get the GABA and NMDA effects. I agree with others that drinking more is the best solution (pun not intended).

Ah yes you are correct, I must've confused NRI with DRI.
Are we now speaking esotericly for absolutely no reason at all?

This is a forum about drugs and I recognise Mindtwistah as pretty well-versed in the subject, so my reply to him may have been a bit esoteric, but so what? We're discussing the subject matter and I still provided a relevant response to the OP's query at the end of my sentence.
Why does it even matter how people speak foodstuffs?
Because we're all starting to sound like a bunch of armchair know it alls like that asshole in fast threads who's a helicopter servant in the military so he uses all this esoteric language and a bunch of abbreviation, initialisms and other military techno babble to make himself sound smart.
I'm not saying that's what we're doing but it's still annoying. And there's a certain ignorance to it because no one here is an MD and my phsyciatrist can explain what you are using a tenth of th technical language and he sounds way smarter in the process ironically.
But then again I'm neurotic and nitpicky.
And to put it plainly, fuckin nuts. There's shit going on here I don't even understand that no one else is even aware of.

Like just say reuptake inhibitor. Then more people will actually know what you are talking about. There's some way I can put this into words perfectly but I just can't find it

I'm not sure why you get this impression but I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all superior asshole or whatever, I'm just having a discussion. I don't say NRI instead of Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor to prevent anyone from understanding me like it's some secret code word for the elite club, I say it since it's much shorter than typing out the whole thing. Just like people say LSD instead of typing out Lysergic Acid Diethylamide every time.
You really need to stop getting so worked up over the smallest of things, bro. It seems like your own paranoia and annoyance is more at fault here rather than our supposed esotericism.
Yeah I do
